If we had hit on all 6 of these first round choices we would still be playing football next weekend

 

There is still hope for Fautanu and Jones but the rest of the list is a disaster

You cannot miss that consistently for that long without it impacting results. That’s what we are seeing now IMO

Tomlin would probably be doing fine and playing into January with a better roster

 

• Mahomes has played in 18 career playoff games. Against the Steelers in the wild-card round after the 2021 season, he enjoyed his best EPA/attempt (0.56), best passer rating (138.2), T-most passing TDs (5), most passing yards (404), second-best completion percentage (76.9%) and second-most points (42) in a postseason game.

• Allen has played in 11 playoff games. Last year against the NFL’s highest-paid defense, he enjoyed his fifth-best EPA/ att (0.18), fourth-best EPA/dropback (0.25), fourth-best passer rating (121.9), fifth-best comp percentage (70%), third-most rushing yards (74) and fourth-most points (31).

• Jackson has played seven career playoff games. During Saturday’s blowout, he played unquestionably his best, producing his best EPA/attempt (0.45), EPA/dropback (0.35), passer rating (132.0) and yards/attempt (8.3), along with his fewest sacks (1), fewest QB hits (1) and second-most points (28).

-We have been outscored 80-0 in the first quarter of our last 6 playoff games.
-Tomlin has been here for 18 years. In 14 of those years he hasn't won a playoff game
-The Ravens ran for 300 yards against our defence
-We have lost to Tim Tebow, Blake Bortles and Baker Mayfield. We basically lost to Aj McCarron as well, but the Bengals gifted us a win.

It goes on and on. Ok fine, we had the worst QB out of all of them this year. How does that explain all the issues with defence over the years? All the other playoff losses? The lack of success throughout most of his career. 14 out of 18 years we haven't won a playoff game. You think that's just bad luck?

 

None of that has anything to do with the Steelers making the playoffs without a franchise QB. With an only slightly better over-all offense compared to last years. Both made the playoffs.
These last 2 trips to the playoffs have been because of Tomlin. Making the playoffs with Mason and Duck was because of Tomlin.
Do I want playoff wins? Of course I do. You have to get there first. Then get the win.

 

And the last playoff win was when???

 

Honest question...as a Mike Dumblin fan/groupie/ball washer/blind loyalist/etc., how many more years are you prepared to support this coach without a playoff win before you demand a new head coach?

Too bad we couldn't do the reverse Herschel Walker trade. Give them Mike for key draft picks to rebuild our franchise. We owe them back after trading them in 1990 and they moved up and took Emmitt Smith. Bad move on our part.
