He is married to former Bronco cheerleader and hottie Michele Beisner. He's an ugly man but he has a beautiful bank account.

Darnold is the perfect QB to keep the tomlin streak of wining seasons and 1-and-done playoffs alive.
    I say they sign him

Darnold was made to look good because of the HC he has, the system he plays in and the players he has around him.

He wouldn’t have any of that supporting infrastructure in Pittsburgh. It would be a total waste of time and money signing him

I don’t think it matters all that much who plays QB until they sort out the offensive line. Presumably Meyer is gone. Given all that they have invested in that unit his replacement is the most important move they’ll make this offseason.

What is really funny to me is that Darnold was often compared to Roethlisberger in college. There may be some similarities in their build and physical talent, but not at all between the ears. Roethlisberger was often at his best when things broke down. Darnold falls apart under pressure.

I disagree. His price is almost certainly going to come down now as well as length of contract. Perfect situation, IMO.

There is no denying he had a great season, he improved his game to get to that point maybe he can improve yet again and grow from his playoff experience. And if not, so what, affordable short contract that you are out of.

I mean if we are looking for a QB that never has a bad game it’s going to be an even longer time before finding Bens successor.

He did all his damage after being down 21 points. Wilson is inferior to everyone of those QB’s

This is what I've been trying to tell people all damn season long. The Steelers were flying a burning plane with the OL. It was eventually gonna crash...and it did in spectacular form during the month of December and January.

Darnold is a product of the system who benefits from having Justin Jefferson and Jordan Addison to throw to. There’s a reason why he’s on his fourth team. Some fool will throw big money at him next year and I hope it’s not us.

Not a Lot of options out there. After the last two weeks and only having a year of success I dont think the market will be as robust at some of you think it will be. A short affordable contract would be perfect to kick the tires on Darnold.

Darnold is fine as a stopgap, but the last two games exposed that he still has some of the same problems that have plagued him throughout his career. If you can get pressure on him, he will start making poor decisions and poor throws. He will even do it on plays when the rush isn't getting to him.

I mentioned this on another thread. I remember the comparisons to Roethlisberger when Darnold was at USC. I really liked him. I would still prefer him any of the other free agent options this offseason, but that's a low bar with options like Rogers, Wilson, and Fields. the sad truth is that while he may share physical traits with Roethlisberger, both react very differently to a strong pass rush. Roethlisberger was often at his best. Remember when he had those great numbers after contact? Darnold is the opposite. His level of play drops dramatically. The Lions and Rams took great advantage of that the last two weeks.

I've come around on this. One bad game and he might have still gotten a contract at least comparable to what the Giants gave Daniel Jones a couple of years ago, around $40 million per year, but with an out after two. That isn't happening now. It is amazing just how much money he cost himself in just two games. It's not just that his numbers were bad. He looked really bad doing it, like he was completely lost and scared at times.

Signing Darnold sound as fun as drafting a QB in the first round after one good season and then watching him win a SB as a 3rd stringer a few years later on a different team.

It is real apparent that Wilson's mind makes promises that his body can't keep.

QB is a conundrum that I can't see any way or front office can solve this year.
