I wasn't speaking necessarily about you. There are a couple guys here who have that fantasy football mentality and would, I believe, be the first ones to call for the new coach to be fired the first time he had a losing season.

How is wanting Tomlin fired the same thing as wanting a coach fired after 1 year?
Tomlin has been here almost 20 years. That's not remotely the same thing.
Nobody wants a new coach every year, but at the same time, when the wrong guy is in place, you get rid of him to find the right guy. If that's 1 year or 20 years is irrelevant.

Mayo was the wrong guy, but it sounds like he was the wrong guy before he was ever hired. He shouldn't have been given the job. He was in over his head.

I think a losing season is coming next year, if the QB position isn't upgraded, in addition to the WR, DL, and secondary issues. The schedule next year will as difficult as this season was.

Smith seems like a good play caller in the second half. He seems completely incompetent in the first half which I don’t understand. The most annoying and obvious thing is him changing all 5 skill players every play. Completely annoying and disruptive to the offense finding its rhythm

Trent Baalke is a massive reason why a lot of good potential NFL Head Coaches should not want to go there. Jim Harbaugh has his warts for sure but he can get the most out of a team. Their loss against Houston had a lot less to do with him and a helluva lot more to do with the Chargers lacking firepower on Offense sans a Rookie WR.

For the Jaguars to get a really good one, Shahid Khan would either have to make an offer that HC simply cannot refuse financially or trade some serious draft capital.

Mike McCarthy out at Dallas. His contact wasn't renewed and he is now a free agent coach.

Trade Tomlin to Dallas now or soon as possible . We all know Tomlin can't build a team and Dallas would be a perfect situation for his worthless ass

Dungy was on dan Patrick this morning upset for Mayo, and every one and done situation. For mayo it may have been in his contract that he was guaranteed the job and that decision took it out of Kraft's hands, but Tony spoke of the lack of patience. Chuck Noll went 1-13 his first year, when talking to him in later years Dan Rooney said I knew we had the right guy after that 1-13 year. Tony was asked to come to lunch after his first year as HC, losing record. He thought he was being fired, the owner said we are in this together, it takes time. Tom Landry and Bill Walsh had losing records their first year, between those two and Chuck that's a lot of SB's lost had they been fired.

Brought to mind the TV show Coach. the show moved to the pros and Coach had the first pick, excited and ready to make it Jerry Jones did a cameo and talked with the female owner of the team. When the pick was anpounced it was Orlando trades their first pick to Dallas for land. lmao,

Need to get rid of his old safety blankets Pruitt, Cordarelle, etc. But more importantly get some high end offensive talent.

Guys on here thinking it’s still to early to fire Tomlin as if he hasn’t been given the most rope of all time. 3 playoff wins in 14 years and 0 in 8. Yes what an overreaction to want him gone! Clown show as usual by the OP.
