O-Line is garbage

The unfortunate truth is that Moore is better than Jones right now. And Moore is trash. He’s a swing tackle at best in this league.

 

The pass blocking is certainly poor but Wilson holds the ball just a half second too long. He takes way too many sacks waiting for the routes to develop instead of just throwing the ball away.

Maybe blame Pickens for running the wrong route on Wilson's interception, allowing Reid to drift into the coverage.

 

Once again, the O line played like garbage.
I believe we have the pieces and the makings of a really good offensive line if we can keep them healthy.

And this tells you all you need to know about how poor the coaching is on this team, every year they regress, they cannot adapt and they cannot improve the team. Other teams figure stuff out look at the Bungles even, they would have given the rats a better game.

Our coaches do nothing and let the collapse happen season after season after season because they're not good enough.

 

The line has been a dumpster fire since Pouncey retired. Where have you been?

 

Jones at LT will be good, Seamus, Frazier, Herbig and the kid we drafted in the first round this season will be a solid group.

What makes you think Jones will be good at LT?

 

This is called being adaptable. Yes having Mahomes is the key part of at least the O, but over these winning years (both SB and the entire run), the GM and Reid have not been afraid to move on, adjust, change, adapt different strategies, and trust those in charge under them to do what was needed to get them and keep them in winning mold.

I really believe this lag for the Steelers started when we lost Shazier. Not saying we would have had a dynasty, but decisions made on every level, on and off field, have been more off than on since that happened. No true agressive plan to move on from Colbert and Ben, not holding MT accountable and making more direct decisions about coaching staff. the list goes on, but it starts at the very top.

In case it wasn't painfully obvious at the time, it turns out that hiring one of the worst OL coaches in the history of the NFL was a bad idea. This organization is completely brain dead.

OL is still under construction. The offense is still under construction. IF(big if) this team is still together let's judge them fully in year 3. Not a good unit this year. They must improve.
