Watch the game in the comfort of your home. Let the seats be empty at the stadium for a few games and see what happens. This generation of Rooney’s have no business being in football. There killing a legend in the NFL along with there fan base.

as long as you buy the tickets, whether you show up or not matters not to them. two years now we have sold our seating license and seats after 50+ years. the whole NFL and to an extent college football has become the WWE. i'm about over it. like anything else in life follow the money.

You do realize that “This Rooney” was the team president for our last three Super Bowls right?
I’m not saying that he’s perfect, but he has been responsible for some success

Also that plan would be terrible. If you wanna show your displeasure you have to turn the tv off. These owners make more dough off of tv contracts than all the other stuff together.
If you wanna break them gotta have a national boycott of everything NFL

The Rooney's will continue to trott out the same product as long as the fan base continues to support it.

I personally look what has already happened I look at the present and the future and right now neither looks good. And do you realize that once upon a time we actually had a coach that won 4 of them.

You are one of the most critical posters on this board. When are you going to stop watching games and supporting the Steelers to get your point across?
Or are you just going to talk big and do nothing?

I’m an 8 hour drive away but had gone to at least one game from 1995-2010. Haven’t been to one since. I watch close to no NFL until the playoffs, only because it’s too cold for typical outside activity. Haven’t bought licensed NFL gear in decades. Been trying to do my part, with zero affect.

Yes. Tomlin sucks and needs to go.
But some act like this Rooney just showed up in the last ten years and ran this franchise into the ground. He was responsible for 2-Super Bowl wins and another appearance.

You do realize the Steelers get something like 300 million a year from the tv deals alone.

I try and do my part by not purchasing Steelers merchandise. Other than that I need to watch the NFL games because sports betting is how I have been supplementing my income for the past 3 decades.

But he still had his Father as Chairman. The football man. Which Art II isn't.

So really then Art II needs to make Tomlin step down. Any rational person can see this is a sinking ship.

If Dan Rooney was still alive I would hope there would have been changes.

It's time for Art II to step down and become Chairman and let his son Dan take over being the President.

Betting against the Steelers in the playoffs is an early retirement plan.

While true, he had his dad guiding the Steelers leadership on drafting Roethlisberger and hiring Tomlin. Rooney II has not made a big impact decision, except for continuing to extend Tomlin. Everyone sees his judgement on that one.

Glenn, you being from Missouri, you have probably noticed that the Cardinals mirror the Steelers in a long period of non-losing seasons, the same leader running the franchise for a long time, and not seriously competing for a championship. The Cardinals model has grown old and stale. The Steelers are tracking the same way.

I will miss seeing you there but I will just have to make do with the other 65,000 or so fans who do show up

The only way out of this jam is that Rooney and Tomlin have a heart to heart and Mike steps down but with a new contract I doubt any coach wants to give up that dough nor leave on that note. The optic of letting him go is too much for a conservative organization to want to deal with. Although this is the best year to deal with that optic after that showing but still there would be blow back. Organizations sports or non sports don't like negative publicity period. I worked my whole career underwriting risks and dealing with the boards and c suites of corporate America and I learned quite a bit in how they think. The knee jerk reaction from the "me too" movement years ago was a perfect study in how they overreact. If Mike doesn't want to go there is zero.zero chance they let him go. If they do I will be the happiest camper even if it means we have several seasons of 4 wins because it would tell me they realize we needed to make a change, but with a contract in hand no way they fire him. So buckle up a few more seasons of frustration are at hand.
