Cowher never had a franchise caliber QB until the year of our lord 2004, but managed to win many playoff games from 1992-2003.

PICKENS will be gone, last night to see 14 in a Steelers UNI

    what an asswipe he is

incredible TALENT as we saw with some of his play last night, but too much controversy and disunity in his head that hurts a TEAM

The problem is not just Tomlin.
The problem resides in those above Tomlin who supposed to be making the decisions.
That would be your Front Office, and GM's.
And they all report to Art.

I've been critical on our GM's, this loss does not help, it only put even more emphasis on it.
The ordeal with the Wide Receivers from WalMart led by a terrible headcase, non-motivated Pickens is Aces and Eights... a dead man's hand.

We've overspent on the defense, and it is nowhere producing for what it is paid.
If we have a coach that can't coach or cannot come up with schemes to attack an offense, it is time to make that call to replace him.
Austin's schemes are very old and even Lamar given enough chances can eventually figure them out.

The decision to purge the previous QB's and go with 3 losers is fire-worthy in almost every organization in the NFL.
I could have seen Wilson with a younger QB, preferably a draft pick.
I could have seen Fields in here competing with others.

They scored on "OK" players which is great but they are not finding nor even attempting to find/add game impact players.
This is horrible. You have to find/add players that make impacts. The "OK" players set them up to do so.

    Lastly, the coach himself.
The GM's have to be able to work with the coach and arm his team with the best weapons, they failed miserably.
If the coach is the problem, then there is a meeting with Art and options discussed.

The difference between the Chargers and the Steelers is this:
The Charges just purged the roster, they don't have all the pieces in 1-year. They will improve, they are on the upswing.
The Steelers have been together, they are stuck in a swamp, spinning their wheels and sinking.

This morning, if I am Art, I open up sessions with the GM bunch first and figure out and figure out if the problem is there.
From there, we figure out what to do about coaching.
All this should happen quickly as there are plenty of folks looking to build new staffs... so it also requires and aggressive approach which I have my doubt the front office as it currentyl sits, is able to do.

All I know is that how so many people on ESPN like that Dan O whatever thar totally useless person is.. if he was a flagger on a road construction crew and he preformed the way there he does on ESPN with his expert knowledge .... he would be fired for turning the sign the wrong way... you got 2 choices....just 2...and he would pick the wrong one.... I've seen stupid... I've witnessed absolutely ridiculous idiots in the hills and hollars of PA, WV, KY, TN... but those geniuses at ESPN...maybe some of the most worthless people on this planet.... Mike T should fit in fine there later this year

Watt was coached to tackle the RB and ignore the QB. Lamar was someone else’s responsibility. Which was a dumb plan. Watt could have but a few huge hits early on Lamar even if Lamar hands the ball off Watt was close enough to get a free hit. The Ravens would have stopped doing it or their QB would have been out of the game

I was just talking with a friend about this. I feel like this might have been in the game plan / coaching.

TJ was attacking Henry every time, without ever looking Jackson’s way. It seemed like we were rolling a safety in behind Watt to chase down Lamar. If it was part of our scheme, it was horribly ineffective.

    Credit where credit is due

He had one game where he showed up gave effort and didn’t act like an idiot and played like a good #2 receiver

Maybe it’s a baby step in his growing up

Anyone on that list a "great" coach. Marty is a HOF semifinalist this year and may get in because he recently died, but he really was just a compiler, not a real great winner.

He'll break that easily and get yet another extension in the process. I'd love to be a fly on the wall at the off-season meetings in the owner's suite with Rooney and Khan and whomever else is there when Tomlin isn't. Are they really blind and this dumb or are they just as fed-up as we are? Is Rooney senile and going on a rant about why the stupid owner won't get his head out of his rear and fire this guy? Is Khan having to gently remind him HE is that owner? Gotta be a strange reason this Head Coach Clown keeps his job AND gets an extension.

Agreed. Who rolled after Lamar was a joke. And Henry still had a great game. So it would have been better to let Watt do what he does best and leave him alone.
