Yeah you would have thought this was some new innovation rolled out in this game. 5 straight times you got smoked on it to start the game. holy smokes.

Not going to expect or hope for a playoff run or even a single playoff win as long as Tomlin is head coach. Russ, or KP or Ben, at Qb, its been the same result for well over a decade.

I get that, but why keep it up when Hill was in the backfield?

The disappointment isn’t that high right now for me, I’ve been disappointed ever since they signed Russ. I never expected this team to go anywhere this season, it was a wasted year by putting him under center. Had a little fools gold there with a few good games and then the real Russ showed up. Could be a lot longer before finding Bens successor.

Wasn’t all on him, Myers should be one of the coaches let go, line played poorly and the drafting of Jones to play him out of position is idiotic.

Having no #2 WR hurt a lot, thats on Khan.

Henry is what Harris wishes he was. Good draft on RB’s this year, find one to pair with Warren.

Secondary still weak outside of Porter and Minkah is getting old.

Great season by Cam but he cant have too many more of those left. Have work to do on that front. LB’s too, Watts getting up there, bad game by him tonight, hes still out there tackling the wrong guy.

Need an upgrade at TE, I like Muth but not he’s not a difference maker. Want a Bowers or McBride, who doesnt.

Most of all, want a new voice and direction at coach. It’s been 18 freaking years, give someone else a try, someone from the offensive side of the ball. Enough of trying to win with 1970 football in 2025.

I agree with everything else you said Blast. But not this. I know you are a Fields guy. You like that running style QB in which he is. But mark my words he is NOT a competent starting QB. Never will be.

If only Wilson had an offensive line that could hold blocks, constant bull rushes. How about the receivers coming back to the football and getting separation. How about the garbage conservative play calling then when they get down all of a sudden lets throw the ball! I'm not giving a pass to Wilson he has had his $hit moments for sure.

The miss on Pickett looms large and I can see another total restocking of the QB position in 2025. All are signed to one year deals.

But as long as the common denominator is here this team is doomed...

Now we know how Bengals fans felt from 2003-2018.... and how Cowboys fans have felt since 1996.

Chargers had an awful loss yesterday too... but at least they have hope for the future and with draft and FA in offseason, they will win 11+ again in 2025.

Bengals ended up with only 9 wins, but their future is much brighter than Steelers. Their offense will be great again... and they can easily fix their defense with draft and FA in 2025. Bengals will have 12+ wins in 2025.

Steelers are screwed for at least the next 2-3 years if Popcorn is still in charge.

That was so gutless. I could not believe they punted there. It just goes to show how safe Mike Tomlins job is. He will never be held accountable. Guy should be fired today. I am so tired of his teams laying down and getting run over.

Just dig out this thread from last year, or the year before that, or any of the several years before that. You have an idiot owner who allows a bad coach to lead the way. It's all down hill from there and it will not change until Tomlin is gone. The rest of this is just extreme repetition.

Not that I see value in the media, can’t believe he wasn’t asked about this in his post game presser.

I didn’t want Wilson before they even signed Fields. Remove Fields from the equation, everything said about Wilson was true. If they run it back with him again next season it will be the same result, he’s just going to get worse from this point on.

There needs to be big changes this coming season and Wilson should be part of that change along with Tomlin and Austin.

They should definitely see if they can sign Darnold and if not see if they can lure McCarthy away.

My 32 YO son was texting during the game, after the game he said 'Dad i think i am done with this team unless changes are made.' I was here during the glory years, the 80's gory years, and the hope, frustrations, glory and pain since, but i really understand his feeling. It's one thing being grateful you have an owner who does not meddle and is patient, quite another one who seems satisfied with the status quo. Colbert was allowed to pick departure date, he should have been shown the door 2 years earlier, MT should not have been given an extension, of course he was. What changes can we expect? Not much, but non-meddling owners once told Noll his entire coaching staff was getting fired or he could retire. Same owner was given a task, choose Donahue or me, but I can;t work with him anymore, Cowher won. Point is THIS Rooney cannot or will not make those important decisions, this is not heaven or hell, it's purgatory.

SOS - same old shyte. I didnt even bother to watch the game last night. We all knew what the outcome was going to be. Plus the NFL and Amazon can kiss my ass. I'm not streaming games on that crap.

My aggravation level is fine today because I didn't invest any time or energy in the steelers sh!tshow and I feel pretty good about it. Steelers football hasn't been entertaining to me since Ben retired. Maybe I'm no longer a true fan but until Tomlin gets shown the door, I'm probably out.

Not only has the team and coaches become an embarrassment, but so has ownership. After Dan, management has been atrocious. Which produces an atrocious team.

We are in decent CAP space, but if Darnold hits the market do you really want to commit that kind of money to a guy who has had one good year with 2 very good WR and a running game. I get it, we need a QB, we also need a complete overhaul in the WR room. new RB, and figure out WTF is wrong with the entire OL. Some of those fixes can be done pretty easily, draft, FA fix and some holes are filled. Unless you get Darnold on a mid tier contract, more than Baker, but still under the 35 million window (not likely), I cant see much success.

I agree, I’ve said as much. Have to see what the market is for him. If some GM is dumb enough to break the bank on him then the Steelers should bow out and I doubt they’d entertain such a contract for him. His market should be in the 30 million range but what it will be I have no idea.

I get it, and really tired of the you are not a true fan crap. if i do not buy jerseys. wave a terrible towel while I watch a game, or drink from a Steeler logo glass while eating snacks from logo plates and bowls, wipe my mouth with logo napkins, of course shave my chest to paint on the logo make me a fan? probably more of a demented freak, but to each his, her, their, they, own. I am a fan, my christmas present Franco jersey (from years ago) still hangs proudly, but non action by Rooney resulting in no longer getting emotional reactions from me does not mean I am no longer a fan, it just means I do not give a shyte for the shyte you provide.

Honesty I would dump some of the baggage here, get picks, cash, and go even higher than 30, as long as it's a type of deal you can get out of after 2 years. I do not see that mind set here however.

I don’t understand why we didn’t draft another QB to develop even if it cost us draft picks or something to move up and get someone , getting a franchise tier QB it absolutely vital for long term success in the nfl they should of at least tried , if Wilson or fields was the answer trust me.. they wouldn’t have been available so cheap
