Steelers @ Ravens Wildcard Gameday Thread

Ok we stop them here and maybe we got a game

 

They prepare better than Steelers.

 

We try to take the air out of it and win 17-14… until we’re down 3 scores and have to actually push it down field

 

Rooney will give MT a 5year contract extension after that drive.

 

Are we getting to the point in the game now where we score a couple times and get close, then everyone points to a key play or two that would have made the difference and allowed us to win? ...... But we still go home. Because that seems like how this team plays against the good teams.

 

Still no moneyline on Pittsburgh.... hmmmm.... now the Ravens need to start playing offense again....

 

A team being up 21-0 and our defense looking like they are quitting you naturally let up.

 

Russ made 3 throws on that drive that Fields would never make. Fields has ZERO touch on his passes. Thats why I like Russ much better. But our conservative approach gives us zero chance.

 

Most Factual thing so on this board in 5 years!

It's amazing what can happen when you start using the middle of the field in the pass game. I don't know why it takes a 21-point deficit to start doing it.

This is the same formula from the past 4 games. No urgency until it's almost too late. That should have been the drive at the beginning of the game.

 

I once covered a local team in the state volleyball tournament. They lost the first two games, then rallied from a big deficit to force a fourth game. They eventually lost. I asked the coach about it after the game and he told me it took no courage at all to come back when they were getting crushed. He gave his team no credit at all. The guy was a jackass for reasons I won't get into here, but he was absolutely right.

Wake me if the Steelers actually make this a game.
