    he was at NYG when our new o-line coach was there. he can play G or C. he's 30 years old, but still a good lineman. would he be a possibility? could he be had for a mil. or so a year? i know sign him sign everyone. he would know bicknells schemes well. just a thought, he's never been mentioned. thoughts?:cool:

    He's the kind of guy they could look at, but not until after the draft.

    I like him, Mac. He's a good run blocker, but I read a few days ago that he's been getting a lot of interest. I don't see it happening.

    This is the kind of depth signing that I'd like to see them make for the interior O-line. For similar dollars, I'd rather have Booth than Legursky. The problem is the "similar dollars" part of that. He may or may not end up being a near-vet minimum kind of guy. If TTF is correct that he's been getting interest, then he will probably find a contract similar to Foster's.

    i'm not to sure he wouldn't start at G. i wouldn't have a problem of him getting up to 1.5 a year for about 3 years. even with foster here.:cool:

    These are the signings I have been asking for, players that have an upside.
    Somebody that can raise our talent level.Do you really think guys like Spaeth, Foote
    Gay have I forgot any has beens make us a better team? I am beginning to wonder if
    the Steelers have scouts watching other teams talent and also monitoring other teams players
    contracts? We should know and have this information to pounce on players that can help our ball club.

    boothe played for the G-men with a contract worth 2.5 mil for two years. surely even at 1.5 mil. we could raise our vet presence and get a really good player at G and or C. which we need a backup C anyway. he's a much better guard then legs., and he played under bicknell.:cool:

    Starks wants to have the chance to compete to be a starter. Steelers are not giving him that chance this year....its Gilberts job, and seems like no real competition....

    Funny though, rumor is Steelers were rumored to be in contacts with Jake Long because they want to see how Gilbert reacts. They question if he really loves football.
