Pickens vs Watt question

See my post above. You are fighting a losing battle. Pickens has issues on and off the field. He is immature and does dumb things.

 

I don’t hate George Pickens personally, he is frustrating because the ability is there to be a top 10 if not a top 5 receiver. By all accounts he is a good kid that has some growing up to do. I hope he doesn’t waste his career.

I saw this on twitter today, he is a chunk play machine and would be the biggest weapon in the NFL on the right offence. This number would be higher if it wasn’t for all those plays he had called back earlier in the year for penalties committed by his teammates.

 

You a follower of sharpe saying he hoped the Ravens and broncos beat the brakes off of us? And him twisting wilson words too trying to start drama?

 

Just off the top of my head I can immediately think of 3 but their are more examples, I assure you.

Quiting on his route during the possible TD that turned into an INT to Friermuth. Not blocking for Warren on a TD run. The former was in a recent game and the latter I think happened during a Colts game. GPS excuse for not blocking for Warren “I didn’t wanna get hurt”.

Edit : Another just came to mind. During the final play @ Philadelphia he chose to get into a scuffle in the back of the end zone vs going up for the ball. He’s not disciplined. He was the same way in college which may explain why the Steelers were able to seemingly get him so easily in the NFL draft. To be fair, this is also an indictment on Tomlin. He’s got to be able to control these Diva WRs

I actually used to not like him but the more I have watched him I have come and respect him. I am 100% on his page about criticizing Tomlin for condoning bad behavior by Steelers players because as he says "you either coach the behavior or condone the behavior" and he loves how the football Gods punished GP with his crap game last week. He quit on the route the week before and then it comes back to haunt him the next week with his drops etc. I didnt see what you are referring to on Wilson what did he say?

Watt is a Steeler ----Pickens is not---fights with his own fans---TJ works hard every play and knows what it means to be a Steeler. and no, I don't hate Pickens, he is just not right for our team----ALA CANCER --WATT --a Steeler

54th in receptions

32nd in yards

81st in touchdowns

The Little Dude scored more touchdowns than Pickens and he is a number 3 receiver at best

Pickens is just another of a long list of Steeler players that care all about themselves more than team. This is the biggest problem with the Steelers since Tomlin took over. If i had a choice to start a team Watt ,Cam, Pat are players i would want to play with. Pickens isnt one of them. That being said i hope he gets his head out of his ass and plays like we all want to tonite

All this stuff about media conspiracies and "listening to Browns beat writers" etc just tells you he hasn't really got a argument to make - just silly.

 

Wilson was talking about Color of QB, and Sharpe went after Wilson for not mentioning previous QB of color. Then Wilson tried to clear it up, and Sharpe double downed.

I don't play fantasy football. But what I see is a stagnant franchise that needs to completely overhaul the roster and that starts with draft capital.

 

Well, I do know one made an impact play tonight and one didn't.

Pickens presser laid a huge tea leaf for this off-season when he said he doesn't see future growth in this offense.

 

Yeah, they asked him, with regards to the offense, if he optimistic about the future, and he said "Nah."
