Fans always bring up the fact about him winning a playoff game well he better show up and make some plays if that's going to change.

I am more interested in his stats versus the Ravens this season.

    4 tackles/3 assists
    1 sack

And I saw some stat that he has a high "havoc play" score, which is more indicative of his effectiveness.

So, you're telling me he's the clear cut DPOY then?

I mean, disappearing for whole stretches of games and almost making plays is what gets you the prize, no?

He changed his whole game and technique for a title. The wrong title. Typical TJ always thinking about his own accolades and never the team. SHAME!

You all do understand opposing teams game plan for TJ, week in week out. Maybe our coaching staff
can make adjustments? Wouldn't that be a novel approach!

I think we add "and is getting old" to the thread title, then have someone put it in his locker Saturday before game. He'll go full metal jacket crazy on the Ravens.

Opposing teams know how to make TJ a non factor now.

When the Steelers coaches moved TJ around mid season it caused confusion for the opposing offensive line and either he or others had some success. TJ then came out and said he wasn’t comfortable doing that and it wasn’t natural. Now he is back to rushing from his same spot and getting double and triple teamed. TJ needs to look in the mirror to see why he is not having a great season.

Well include Highsmith as well. Both starting OLBers have been underwhelming. Now's the time to turn it on.

Forcing QBs to hold the ball for more than 2 seconds would help. He'd have a challenge reaching the QB with no blockers the way our pass defense has been defending lately.

In fairness, he has been injured. Although it was explained as an ankle injury, I did see a curious mention of a bone break in his foot right after it happened. and the replay did show him grasping the outside edge of his foot and not his ankle.

He has been known to play through injury before, so this would not surprise me.

I wasn’t even sure if he was still on the Team after the last 4 games. Who cares how many plays you make during the scrub teams it’s what you do against the quality opponents, and he seems to disappear. Hoping he has a monster game game today.

Only a few times in his career has he gone back to back games without a sack. I can't remember the last time he went 3... Of course, some of it has to do with him being slowed by injury, and some of it is just the luck of things. I don't think he's been BAD or anything the past few games, though I think he needs to make a big impact play or three tonight if we are going to win. We're going to need our stars to drag our coaching staff across the finish line kicking and screaming if we want to win. Cam, TJ, and Minkah (potentially even Queen or Elliott too) need to find a way to get a big turnover or two for us. We lose this one if we don't win the turnover battle. Simple as that.

Needing our starters to drag the coaching staff over the finish line....... Very aptly said.

If Watt is getting double and triple teamed then that means someone else isn't getting the job done. Watt has not been the same player since he rolled his ankle against Philly.

Watt was the favourite for DPOY before that injury. His sack and pressure numbers are down obviously but he is still one of the best run defenders in the game and has been forcing fumbles and making other plays.

PFF discussed this on their podcast recently and it seems that teams are chipping him at a 10% higher rate than previous years and also getting the ball out quickly so that he can’t get to the QB.

I think that ankle injury has slowed him down in recent weeks unfortunately
