Pickens was top 3 WR in the AFC before his injury.
Watt was at the top for sacks, until a month ago.

So here's my question for you pickens haters, do you hate Watt as well?
    And don't say you hate
pickens due to the way he shows emotions. Several players do, but the media portrays it as horrible on him and y'all eat into it. As well there's brown beat writers who straight out lied and some of y'all believe those articles to this day.

When I brought up pickens stats, and I had some of y'all reply the last couple weeks with, "well he is now...."

No comparison. Watts not a cancer to the team. I’d love to see Pickens grow up and become a team player because he’s such an insane talent.

Even when Watts not great, you’ll never see him quitting on a play. You also don’t ever hear him whining or making excuses. And I personally don’t need to read about Pickins quitting on plays, whining or making excuses. He does it all on live TV.

The real question to me is, if we think we need change do we trade both and build over with a young #1 QB and multiple picks, like Dallas did with the Herschel trade. I know that means 2-3 years of poor to average ball, but with the right picks maybe we build a real contender. This obviously means Tomlin is also showed the door.

I've been saying this for the past two seasons. A franchise QB is the most important position on the team and I'd get one by any means necessary. The WR room is already a bottom 3 room in the league so it can only go up, and Preston Smith and Herbig are capable of filling the Watt void, obviously not at a Pro Bowl/All Pro level.

I could live with some 4-5 win seasons if it means the Steelers re-vamp the organization and become a power again. Can't see the Steelers doing it. Franchise QB's are mostly luck. Joe Burrow was a certainty but it's rare. We have got to get lucky with a QB. Montana and Brady prove it doesn't need to be a first round pick.

    This is some dumb ****.

How can you possibly compare the consumate professional TJ Watt who has carried the team on his back for numerous years and is getting a gold jacket, with a selfish immature little diva was has achieved literally nothing in the NFL.

You want to get rid of your best pass rusher knowing that the 2 guys behind him aren't as good and Cam is getting older? Pickens? He can go. Any really good receiver anymore seems to have ABitis so, you're probably trading one diva for another but, maybe the next guy isn't as much of a crybaby. Keep TJ and jettison Pickens, IMO

What is even the point of this :lolol:

Don’t worry so much which players the fans like or not.

This is not even close though, Watt is the consummate professional, have never seen him take plays off and his career achievements dwarf Pickens.

No that is ridiculous. I have been a pretty big proponent of GP's and kinda agree that he is getting more hate than he probably deserves because of his antics when we lose... but I don't think he is getting hated on because he hasn't performed to expectations after his injury. He had a bad game last week, **** happens. But some of the weird stuff he does definitely sours the fanbase on him. Making a "business decision" on a block last year vs. the Colts, seemingly taking plays off from time to time, and the mental crash outs when we lose kinda have taken a toll on some of the fans. The reasons for potential frustration with GP vs. Watt is a wild comparison.

I personally think he crashes out when we lose. He doesn't seem to be a "locker room issue" off the field as much as he is a bit of a distraction on-field. He is ONLY an issue when the team loses, which speaks to his competitive nature (though I'd prefer he'd externalize it in a different manner). He didn't pout, complain, or throw a fit last year when we beat Baltimore to end the season when he had 0 targets for 0 yards. We won the game and were going to the post season, so he took it in stride. He really only loses his cool when he gets trash-talked at the end of games when we lose the game. He shows his frustration in a very negative way when this happens (from taking a Dallas guy down by the facemask, to the scuffle in Cleveland, and his outward display of frustration against KC).

Personally I think we almost have to pay the kid. His talent is worth taking the risk on. If we can surround him with a better RB1 and a competent WR2, I think we win a good deal of games and GP has a much lower chance of having on-field issues. I think he's every bit worth 27-30 million a year and with the state of our WR room, I don't see a scenario where we don't pay him and have an NFL caliber WR room. We can let him play his deal out and franchise him for a year if we REALLY are afraid of paying him, but I'd prefer we just give him the 4 year deal he wants.

Yes... it's time to rebuild the roster. Keeping aging players for the sake of nostalgia isn't a good recipe for success and hasn't been one for 8 years now.

    Watt acts professionally

    Pickens does not

Simple enough and the media has nothing to do with it

We all watch it with our own eyes

You play fantasy football don't you? When he's not being held, TJ is still a dominant pass rusher and you want to get rid of him before he loses a step so you can spend a few years bringing a guy along to the point where TJ is now?

Both guys have the ability to completely change the dynamics of a game. TJ has often proved it. Pickens may sometimes dream about doing it.

There's only been one play legit he quit on. The other couple you can watch nfl rewind and look at the other cameras and see there was no quitting. If you want to prove me wrong please do.

You miss what Watt has done the last few weeks? And how we lost the last few weeks?

What's stupid, is that you're blind to that and don't want to hate on it like you do pickens being hurt the last few weeks.

    You're a Class A hypocrite.

As Shannon Sharpe said he loves when the football Gods punish bad behavior. You need emotion to play the game but if you are a selfish player who has quit on plays, admits to not blocking because he doens't want to get hurt, etc is no comparison to Watt. So you are comparing apples to oranges. I dislike selfish people and would never want a selfish teammate. He needs to go in the offseason because sooner or later when adversity strikes again a guy like that will show is true colors and quit on the team again. Can't go to battle with a guy like that.

That's wrong my man, he quit on a goal line block and he quit on the route in the Bengals game and as Shannon Sharpe pointed out he lolly gags on routes when he isn't the primary target so that is quitting on your teammates. You have a job to do on every single play period and when you don't do it at 100% you are quitting on your team.
