We need a safety. My vote is for Cyprien.

Put me down for Cyprien. I like Ertz, but unless we think its time to draft Heath's replacement, the pick doesn't make sense to me.

I don't think we need to look at Ertz as Heath's replacement. Two talented TEs in Haley's offense can ONLY be a good thing. Look at Hernandez and Gronkowski in NE.

    Put me down for Ertz.

    I originally voted Swearinger.

After further consideration, I change my vote to Montee Ball. Didn't realize he was still on the board here.

My vote is for Rodgers. He'll likely go mid 2nd, so he's a steal at this point.

My vote is for Swearinger as well.

This draft is setting up well for positions of need in the 3rd round. I see Philip Thomas and Tony Jefferson as also being viable safeties at this spot, however I like Swearinger's physicality and the fact that he earned his stripes in the SEC.

There are some solid WRs as well: Aaron Dobson, Markus Wheaton, Chris Harper (if you want a physical Boldin type) and, of course, Da'Rick Rogers who scares the crap out of me. I watched Game Changers last night in which Michael Irvin and Steve Mariucci worked out/interviewed 5 WRs: Rogers, C. Patterson, K. Allen, R. Woods and K Stills. In my opinion, Rogers far and away came off as the most questionable guy - the most likely to fail because of his personality. He seemed arrogant and potentially diva-ish. A number of decent guys will likely still be there in R4, so I am OK with skipping WR here in favor of getting a safety.

ILB isn;t an option for me here. I don't see the guys projected to round 3 being much better than the guys projected at rounds 4 and 5, at least for our system.

Therefore, by default I am going safety, and I like Swearinger the best of the ones who remain.

I don't mind the Swearinger pick, and I understand that Safety is a good bet in Round 3. Although, I think the better Safety option here would be Shaun Williams of Georgia.

However, I feel compelled to go BPA in this position, which coincidently is a position of need for us.

I vote for RB Montee Ball (Wisconsin). He is a tremendous value pick here. Over 5000 career rush yards, 600 rec yards, and over 80 total TDs.

I am going Shaun Williams S from Georgia. I think we will have better options at WR and RB in the next round than safety.

Agreed. We need to grab a RB here and put our running game back on the map. I think Ball would be a good fit as the Steelers transition to a zone blocking scheme. Ball is a good value here and he's my choice.

I have Shaun Williams S from Georgia rated higher than Swearinger so I go with Williams. (but I do like D.J.)

There hasn't been a vote in quite sometime so I'm closing the voting in the 3rd round.
