Pickens on last miss

Pickens is a great receiver who gives half an effort. His performance on Saturday pretty much sums up his desire for the game. I’m fairly certain he will find himself on another team next season which I believe has been his goal for a long time now. Hopefully the Steelers can get something in return for him.

 

Why be sorry. He was a contributor.........until he wasn't. I bought a Ju-Ju jersey right after he laid out Burfict. I bought it for that one play alone. Thought he'd be with the team longer.......

 

Muth dropped the pass / play that could have won the game.

Yes - Wilson was far from great, but his 4th Q was HOT and we should have won.

Yes Muth should of caught that last Pass but he did get 8 passes out of 10 targets. My question is why does it take until game 18 to get 10 targets. This should of been the amount of targets since game 1 not game 18. Wonder about coaching game plans and personnel decisions.

 

It looked like an out and up, and the cut inside took him away from the defender. I think that one was on Wilson.

 

i agree. near the hashes was open, Wilson threw it outside.....

 

If it was a streak down the sideline, an out-and-up, the ball should have been laid out in front of Pickens instead of to the sideline. I'm not certain at all that Pickens ran the wrong route. People are assuming that because they are pissed at Pickens. They have good reason to be. He sucked Saturday night, but I think that one was on Wilson.

 

You know who was great on last-minute drives with the game on the line? Pickett.

 

His first catch on that quick screen was clearly a late hit on him well out of bounds , he got up without any fire or being upset , this is not his nature he plays with emotion most of the time .. He seemed a shell of himself I wonder if he got on medication to control his emotions.. He seemed to play like a zombie to me and without passion .. I am not trying to excuse his play just a what if this went on type of thing..

If this is or was the case the Team needs him to not take that medicine the next game.. I would rather deal with his emotional out burst and making plays instead of the walking dead version of him..

100% agree with you. Like I said, Wilson messed up for sure. You expect more from the veteran on a potential game-winning drive - we did not get that from him.

But Pickens having his head up his posterior all night did Wilson no favors.

 

If he is on medication, it is for more than just the occasional emotional outburst. It would be irresponsible to take him of necessary medication because he played poorly in a game.

 

Regardless if he's a bad guy, I'd like to trade him because he's simply not a very good receiver. You know who doesn't have to make contested catches all the time? Receivers who actually get open.

IMO this was the 1st . time he was on it .. I am not sure he needs it .. If emotion is what drives him then taking that away could do way more harm than good for him IMO.. Just speculating on my part of course..

 

Soiciety is just a echo chamber, 1 person will say something, then 10 will say the same thing it just go's on on and on . its sad that most in society will believe anything they are told... Did Pickens have a bad game? yes, Did he do it on purpose? No.. Is he as big as a problem he is made at tobe in the locker room/ on the field..? prob not.....

 

why do we not use mr. clutch TE/FB anymore? heyward has been nonexistent this season. the last couple of years he's made many a clutch catch for us at times. he could have helped chip on moore's side and slid out of the backfield on some wheel routes. when we are searching for weapons, we don't use the one's that we have. washington as well.

 

I’m all for passion but I was watching Pickens on the sideline throwing a total hissy fit

It looked very unprofessional and other than one OL everyone else ignored him

 

I’m by no means suggesting they sign Wilson to big bucks but if the don’t they will bring in another QB

And that QB will be ahead of Fields on the depth chart

Just my thoughts
