I have no desire to watch the Steelers get embarrassed by the Ravens next week. I hope they put the game on something like Peacock or Prime so that gives me an excuse not to watch it.

Oh, I think it's a good bet they'll be the Peacock game.

Somehow, someway, Tomlin would survive and then be extended to a lifetime contract. No, nuking isn't sufficient, we need more. I'd prefer sending him up on a one-man rocket to space with no steering and just enough fuel to enter perpetual forward momemtum. He can report back in 10 years if he has reached the end of space yet.

I take it you don’t know how your remote control works. It’s very simple to change the channels or even turn the TV off.

If it's on regular TV I might be tempted to watch it. If the game is on Peacock that I don't have, then I don't have to worry about it.

I don't see anyone on here vehemently defending Tomlin. Never have. Is there a secret chat room that you have access to?

I hope you are kidding. This team and qb just went 4 games not scoring more than 17 points a game hadn’t happened in Pittsburgh since 2003. Teams don’t eat 68 mil in dead cap space and pay another 48 mil in salary to get rid of good players.

No sh1t. Name me someone who VEHEMENTLY defends Tomlin. You know, as opposed to those who realize that Tomlin serves at the pleasure of the Rooneys and that ain't going to change no matter how often some fans complain about it.

To use a Tomlimism, he ain’t varsity.

Time for a change is right, past time. Team needs a new voice and new direction. Time to scour the isle for a new cereal.

The above is so wrong and lazy. You can easily look all this up, you know.

First, the "plain, in sight, truth" is far from it. Noll was on for 23 years, the last 12 years of which he won a grand total of 2 playoff games. Cowher was kept for 16 seasons and both he and Noll have lower regular season winning %'s then Tomlin. Higher post-season % though. Noll failed to make the playoffs 11 of his 23 seasons, Cowher 5 of 16, and Tomlin 6 of 18. The point is that their records are fairly comparable and this how the Steelers do things. They keep coaches on forever. It's completely within the norms of the franchise.

As for most playoff losses, Noll had 8, Cowher 9, Tomlin 10. None of them are close to the most. Shula had 17, Belichik 13, Harbaugh has 10, Bud Grant had 12, Marty Schottenheimer went 5-13 in his playoff career! Of course, you can't lose in the playoffs if you don't make it, so I'm not sure how a lot of playoff losses = a lousy coach.

Him and Mikeyg love to fight the strawmen.

I'd challenge them to find one post in the past 2 years that is an example of this supposed unwavering support.
