My thoughts on regular season wk 18

1. Defense did what was necessary... when you hold the Bengals to less than 20, there's no excuse for losing

2. This was one of the more putrid offensive showings I've seen in a while

3. George Pickens head was completely up his rear

4. How often does trey Hendrickson need to abuse Dan Moore without the coaches moving some help on that side

5. Boz, of course, was money.... just a damn shame the offense couldn't give him a chance to win it

6. It's starting to look a lot like teams have read the book on Russell Wilson

7. Patrick Queen was all over the field

8. Looks like it's on to Baltimore for our 1st playoff game

9. Once again, we beat ourselves

10. Cam Heyward was worth every penny of that extension

 

11. We suck

 

Terribly coached team is terribly coached.

It won't be popular but on 2 of the three drops from George, the db's with unbelievable precision, stripped/smacked that ball out of his hands.

You still gotta catch those but the defense was really good.

 

where is our quick passing game ..They went quarters deep at the end and we kept trying to go deep . Our Coaches are just not as good as other Teams ...

 

13. Tomlin has to go.

 

14. Wilson is taking us nowehre.

Situational playcalling was awful and the execution was even worse. The drive at the end of the 1st half was awful and the drive to finish the game was even worse. Wilson, Pickens, Dan Moore and Arthur Smith should exit left stage. I have zero clue was Wilson was thinking on that final drive. The defense played well and deserved better tonight. They played bend but don't break ball and held a great offense to under 20. They definitely didn't have a great 1Q but held the fort the rest of the game.

 

Hopefully, next year there will be a new Oline coach and we'll see drastic improvement. The line is problem #1.

then again maybe it wont matter with the same HC. It's hard to avoid the trends after two decades.

How does Troy Aikman and me figure out to put Joey Porter and not a guy in his first start against Jamar Chase before Austin does? Pitiful game plan.

I'm sure everyone here figured that out after that opening TD. It made zero sense

 

13. MT is nothing more than a motivational coach. He can't even do this well anymore so why the Rooney's insist on keeping him around is a real head scratcher.

 

Does anything else really matter? Other than we don’t have a good QB ?

 

I feel like they abandoned the run from the very start of the game, where was the attempt to set up some play action???

 

Sad but true.

 

On a positive note we are not completely back sliding into the playoffs, we kept it close and had a chance, AND we did not lose by multiple touchdowns, something positive to take into the post season

Also: that hit on Najee was dirty, clearly Helmut to Helmut

Nobody should be surprised by this outcome. The issues and shortcomings have been well chronicled and over the past 8 years, little has changed even though there are different position coaches and coordinators. The constant is Mike Tomlin and his culture of mediocrity. It's a part of who this team is and is fully embraced by the owners.

 

I am actually shocked how this team has fallen apart in the last 4 weeks. I never had them in the super bowl but I thought they could at least stir things up. But the way it looks like the only thing this team is going to stir is the pile of dogshid they will be in after another embarrassing first round exit. I never thought that the offense would go back to signature 2022 when things looked very well in wilsons first 5-6 games. This team will get demolished in baltimore

 

And way to predictable running on 1st. down to much ... No PA rollouts , Very few screens or draws not many slant routes .. Oh and that damn slow take all day sweep makes my soul hurt .. We would be better to just quick pitch it to Warren on the weak wide side with no blockers.. We toss it to strong short side and have 4 blockers the Defense has 6 defenders and the sideline...F that FNG play...

 

The only play Watt made was negated on a defensive holding call.....really non factor.

Besides one catch to Wiliams - Muth accounted for over half of the passing yards. Even if he caught ball at the end - time likely running out.

 

Bro there is only one thought. Mike Tomlin needs to retire after the Steelers lose to the Ravens. PERIOD. End of discussion.
