This makes me so happy. Ed Reed is the only Raven I respect and he was much too classy to play for those thug gangsters. The only thing about this is that it seems our true rivalry is dying. I felt like it took a hit when we lost Hines but now with Lewis and Reed gone it's just not gonna be the same hard hitting rivalry it was. I guess Suggs is about their last link to the most heated aspect of it. We will still hate them but I just don't feel like it will be the slugfest it once was. I think it was the best rivalry in sports over these last few years.

It was either this year or next. They have to move on.

I have my thoughts on "arranged" winners in the NFL and it keeps getting fishier!

So you think Roger Goodell told Ed Reed to sign with Houston so that they will win next year? And you think the players just go along with this stuff willingly and never blow the cover off this thing? You're basically saying the NFL is the largest conspiracy theory in the history of human kind and yet nobody ever leaks the info about it.

And of course the perennial losers go along with it too, teams like Cleveland that have never even been to a SB and Detroit who are competitive now but still never been to a SB, both been in the league much much longer then Houston.

Well, you can't dispute the fact that they are "one" entity in the eyes of the anti-trust exemption and they list themselves as an entertainment product. Also, not everyone has to be in on it. Tim Donaghy in the NBA proved that. Why wouldn't the perenial losers like Cleveland be in on it? They're still making money.

You can replace the athleticism of old players such as Lewis and Reed but their leadership will be hard to replace.

Also Ed Reed is really smart. Smarter than Ray Lewis really. I wish we could've gotten him.
