Haha! It HAS been said!! People have expressed frustration in the past that Tomlin hasn't been emotional on the sidelines. It wasn't easy for a lot of the complainers to transition from Cowher's jaw/spittle in people's faces to Tomlin's 'cool as ice' sideline demeanor (recall the 'coolest time out ever' when Tomlin just stood there and asked the ref for a time out out of the side of his mouth?).

    You're right. Calm, wild, talks too much, doesn't say a much . . . doesn't matter.

    Hysterical.

Somebody did make a good point about free agency though. When did that come about? '94? Can you imagine what Noll and the front office would have had to endure during the 70s? Hines/Plax? Hines/Santonio? Wallace/Brown? How 'bout having to decide between Swann/Stallworth? Bleier might have bolted for a chance to start and get more touches. We might have cut Bradshaw early on and brought in a 'capable vet.' And that defense? Heck we couldn't even keep Steed, Buckner, and Seals together. How 'bout Holmes, Mean Joe, Dwight White, and L.C.? L.C. probably would've left for a team looking for a 3-4 edge rusher. And, Gerela . . . don't even get me started on Gerela . . .

I can say with a fair amount of confidence, that his first post was in jest.

Cracks me up when people complain about Tomlin showing no emotion and speaking in cliches. Have you never watched/listened to Bellicheck? Dungy? Would you really rather have a Jim Harbaugh?

I can solve this problem...let's have no coach. Each side of the fence could stop worrying about what the current coach is or isn't doing, how he's doing it and with or without how much passion. We would, then, be able to all come together and direct all our ire at the players themselves. Sometimes, I am so brilliant I amaze myself! I mean I don't even know where I come up with this stuff.

Brilliant! In Green Bay, the fans own the team. The Steelers could have the fans coach the team! What could possibly go wrong?

If Tomlin coached the SB the way Jim Harbaugh just did you would be raking him over the coals.

All I got to say, What other coach would you prefer that is available? I think Tomlin does need to do better in some areas but he's still a young coach with no previous head coaching experience. I think he gets better every year. I think he is a good coach for our team and the Rooney's.

One coach that I consider a really good coach even though I don't really like him personally is Mike McCarthy. I know he's not available but I was just saying. I can't really think of a coach I'd like to have that's out there. No coach is perfect. I do think Tomlin needs to work on clock mgmt for SURE. I also wish sometimes that he would make Ben sit when he's obviously injured. I also don't like the "Tomlinisms". But we could do a LOT worse than Tomlin. He really is still young. Not just as a coach but even as a man. He just needs to find the happy medium between stoicism and swagger.
