Thanks Hines! I had almost forgot about his two Superbowl appearances after some of the talk on here.

All I remember is him saying we were going to "unleash hell" and then we lost a few games. That is ALL I choose to focus on! I ignore the accomplishments and choose to focus on anything that goes wrong. All he does is pull out these great quotes as if he were some great leader. What he needs to focus on is coaching! All of these stupid motivational quotes don't help!

Remember folks he is the greatest since sliced bread, doesn't matter if his time mgmt skills,
player development, motivational skills, leadership abilities, player evaluation are less than average.
Thank God he has #7 playing for him,he inherited a Lamborgini time to step it up coach.

dumbest post i have ever read! i am sorry but really. i guess no other great coach has had a good qb. look at belicheat at the browns. then give him bledsoe and brady. bill walsh had a pretty good one. i mean cowher didnt win till he got ben so lets bash him. leadership abilities? i have never heard that questioned by players. as a matter of fact they polled nfl players and tomlin was the coach most wanted to play for. player evaluation? yeah they have drafted so bad everyone is pissed we cant keep these guys. tell me a coach or a team that hits on every player. at least tomlin hasnt missed on a first. i think the all mighty cowher done it a few times. that is it you are giving the head coach the power to make the picks which i dont think tomlin has

Great post. I wonder what this place would have looked like from 1998-2000 when the Steelers went 7-9, 6-10 and 9-7 or when the team went 6-10 in 2003.

Has no one on here ever heard any other NFL coach speak? It's all cliches, much like politicians. They're only allowed to say things that won't offend anyone.

Why is it ok for a fan to badmouth a player, and rake him across the coals,.But if someone says something obot Tomlin its just wrong,.. the man stands on the sidelines on gameday showing no emotion what so ever, then at press time , he has all these lil sayings, and everybody is like (ohhhh what a great coach he is ) .. Well not me no sir!! he needs to step up and sho something:cool:

Come on man, are you going to seriously sit there and act like no one takes another poster to task when they rip a player??? It has nothing to do with it being Tomlin. Whether it's a player or coach, you're going to be taken to task when the majority of posters feel you are being unfair. Like this post, some of the best coaches ever didn't show emotion on the sidelines. It's just a silly thing to critique. So ok, if he was acting like a lunatic, screaming and yelling but still went 8-8, that would be ok, hey why not, he showed emotion!

Actually, I was addressing the assertion that no one questions when a member bad mouths a player, only when it's Tomlin. Simply not true. Then sited your criticism of Tomlins lack of emotion as an example of being unfair.

you know what ..i don't like tomlin too much but if he keep his balance between poor season and superbowl apparences i will be fine , i prefer going up and down than straight to the elimanation in playoffs every year

If Tomlin said we'll "be just fine when the dust settles and the team will be focused as well," there'd be a thread started about Coach Cliche's motivational crap.

The dislike some people on here have for Tomlin blows me away.

You know how it is Tomlin_Era...some people aren't happy unless we are winning the superbowl every year. You know if Tomlin was screaming on the sideline all year and we went 8-8 the same people would be asking why he doesn't remain calm and composed.
