CFP Prediction Thread

    Ok, predict your 1st round results here:

    Notre Dame 33, Indiana 14
    Tennessee 19, OSU 16
    Texas 27, Clemson 10
    Penn State 31, SMU 18

    The only one I care about is Tennessee vs OSU (I can’t stand OSU), and I think Tennessee’s defense gives them a much better chance than the odds makers are giving them. If I gambled I would take Tennessee and the under.

    I like your predictions. Only concern with TN defense is the LBs. They've given up some big runs right up the middle. DL is world class and secondary is above average. Vols will have to put up points though and that could be a problem with the pass game the way Nico and his WRs just havent been able to put it all together yet this season. OSU defense is good against the run so this should be strength on strength.

    I’m 7–1 so far. OSU and PSU win next week.

    Edit- I’m sticking with PSU, but it’s a really close call for me, especially when I look at the road that each team has traveled to get here.

    OSU: whipped a defensively stout Tennessee team and then embarrassed Oregon. OSU has taken the hardest road, and made it look easy. I can’t see anyone beating them.
    Texas: beat Clemson with minimal drama and then slipped by ASU. This Texas team is Jekyll and Hyde. There’s talent there, but they seem a bit short to me.
    PSU: easy road. Beat SMU and Boise State. I’m still sticking with them to beat Notre Dame, but I could go either way on this one.
    ND: beat Indiana and Georgia minus Beck. I did not get to watch the ND win over Georgia, but I’m thinking the absence of Beck played a role in ND winning.

    OSU 34, Texas 20
    PSU 23, ND 19

    In spite of all the gaffes (or miscues) this is a solid final 4 for this year. OSU is playing lights out now and has the depth, but that Michigan game was just a few weeks ago, so it's still an intriguing game and games this round. Not necessarily recent history, but all four have national history at this level which makes the match ups interesting to watch.

    Both teams have great talent, not sure OSU can keep up flawless play?
    TX better be ready to play 60 minutes, they haven't seen talent like this
    in years.
