James,Let me be the first to welcome you (silver) back. Now you can use the fact no one else wanted you as motivation. You are back where you belong. What do you guys think of the chances he returns?

I for one would welcome James back and would like to see him retire in B&G. I said before his latter plays of past season was strong and during the off season he's only going to get better! As the previous writer stated by jumping back on board should motivate and show other teams the ole man still has plenty gas in the tank. (I suppose will see in due time if he returns)

:godell:There debo said it for you!!!

I figured James made a big mistake, unless we offered him squadoosh. If he walked away because of a 30% pay cut, he probably cost himself a lot of money

sorry but I disagree if it didn't tarnish woodson it won't tarnish Harrison. Hell woodson went to two of our rivals. This goes back to its a business

I'd take him back. I was getting excited to see Worilds start, but a three man rotation would be nice. Plus, with Harrison gone, we don't have much depth. Just Chris Carter, who is a big question mark and was too small the last time we saw him.

How much would you guys be willing to pay him?

I still highly doubt it would happen, because of his pride, if nothing else...
But I would be the first to welcome him back.
Say what you will about his injuries, but his is one of the least used 35 year old bodies in the league, and I love his attitude!
We could still use it, and I am fairly sure he has at least another season left.
Not for what he was originally signed for, but if he is insulted at other teams` offers, or the lack thereof...
I would absolutely love to see him come back here.
If not, I think he is gonna have one hell of a final year(or maybe 2), somewhere else.:butcher:
    (Edit)...
Sorry Snack, you posted while I was typing... I`ll leave the numbers up to Kahn, and Parise.
I really doubt that we can afford to give him a better offer than another team will, but, I would love to be wrong about that!:hmmm:

Joining the conversation a little late, but I agree with you (as usual). Rod Woodson is still, to this day, probably my favorite Steeler of all time. I still have my original jersey of his that I got in 1991.

But I think it did tarnish Woodson a little. Not to the point of not being able to appreciate what he did as a Steeler, but as I said above had he simply stayed with the Steelers and moved to safety (and taken safety money), I don't think he would have destroyed his retirement portfolio and would have had a much cleaner legacy in Pittsburgh. As it is, you can't think about Woodson without thinking about him in the putrid purple and sucky silver and black.

I guess you own one of the red laser pens from Men in Black? Carnell left us for Jacksonville and finished up his career in . . . Baltimore.
