Not really that original of a question, but because the Eagles are doing so well despite having an absolute moron for a head coach I thought I'd revisit the question.

I'd vote for Barry Switzer, which unfortunately was against us in 95. If Siriani wins it though, it's him all the way.

edit: oops 96 I guess. It was the 95 season. My memory is failing me in my old age

Why is Siriani a moron? What makes him a bad coach?

Doug Pederson would have to be in the running. McCarthy is a poor man's Tomlin.

As soon as I read the title I knew I'd see Tomlin.

The Jets moment of glory. Weeb did have some Championships pre Super Bowl ear but I'm agreeing with Weeb.

Weeb is the only coach in history to win an AFL championship, a NFL championship and a Super Bowl title. He was a heckuva good coach.

I'm going to go with either Switzer or Mike McCarthy. I guess I'll go with McCarthy as the worst, he was surrounded by talent his whole career and only had just one ring.

I think Switzer. Interesting thoughts, maybe another thread of best Coach to never win a title, or only Onle SB?

Granted his record is very good, but I think it's in spite of him and not because of him. I just can't stand him and I base it mostly on his press conferences and the incidents where he taunted both opposing and his own fans. He's going to prevent the Eagles from winning it all. Mark my words.

Worst coach to win a SB? I will nod at Ditka. Gruden is up there. But the worst has to be the cheater himself, Belicheat.

Ewbank won an NFL title as head coach of the 1958 Baltimore Colts and is in the NFL Hall of Fame.

Being that you don’t know the difference between a screen and a checkdown I would say your opinion is worth, well nothing. Same with arch complains about not seeing any outside zone. Well then it’s pretty clear you don’t know jack and are just complaining for the sake of complaining

It's gotta be Switzer. The guy was a great college coach, but that's where it ends. I forgot which assistant it was, but at one point said to Switzer, "At least you could pretend." That team was so loaded they just needed a minimum of competent assistants.

I'm not understanding the anti-Weeb folks. Multiple championships with two different teams. I mean he wasn't Knoll, Walsh, Lombardi or Hank Stram - but he is far from the worst. My vote is for Ditka or Pederson.

This is actually a really good question. I have to think on it. My first thought is Switzer or Seifert.

How about Don McCafferty? 28-17-2 as a head coach for the Lions and Colts. He only won 1 other playoff game besides the Colts Super Bowl year. He died at 53 cutting his career short.

I knew someone would post that, most likely someone who didn't know any better and meant it.
