Back it up? Get on YouTube and look for comments by Taylor, harvin, pouncey, moats, foster… the list is endless. Of course you won’t you’ll stick your head in the sand and pound out paragraphs of crap. Yall say the same dumb **** every single day. You whine about not winning a playoff game, but blame the coach for the qb turning the ball over 4 times.

coaching tree? How many superbowls does the belichek coaching tree have? Zero. That tree doesn’t even have a winning record. One of the greatest coaches in the history of the game, but he sure as hell didn’t crank out a murders row of great coaches. How is that possible? How can one of the all time greatest coaches in the history of the nfl have a coaching tree with a losing record and no superbowls?

Heinz is correct here, with all due respect to Lee Flowers. With that said, at some point, we have to start giving some credit to Mike Dumblin. He's held on to his job, he's kept counting the paychecks, and he's the only coach in NFL history to not be held accountable for his job. He manipulates the media, and they love him for it. He's single-handedly turned into a god in the City of Pittsburgh. He could commit a homicide in the South Side football building in broad daylight...and Artie II wouldn't fire him. He's turned NON-LOSING seasons into Lombardi Trophies for all his legion of groupies, and there are many of them. Every year, these groupies teach us there's more to football than winning SB's. Gotta tip your cap to them!

His ball washers are SMOOTH, too. They brag Dumblin up like he's the greatest coach in football history. They use fear mongering at a professional level (...uh, if we fire him, 31 teams will fire their coach & hire Dumblin!). They go down to the North Shore to socialize and feel Mike's positive energy! If you didn't know better, you'd think the guy has 4 or 5 SB Trophies. His fans, undoubtably, have a Mikey T poster on their wall they pay homage to daily. He's their leader, in-season and off-season. When they hit their death beds, they'll think of Mike Dumblin in a pair of shades being cool...again, sometimes you just gotta tip your cap! In the end, we're all winners, baby!!!! :drinks:

With the way the rules have changed they would have had trouble. I say this so much but it feels so good. The 1976 Pittsburgh Steelers gave up 28 points total over 9 games with 5 shutouts. Never ever happen in today's NFL. That year was the first year I learned just how much injuries affect a team. WE WOULD HAVE WON 3 STRAIGHT SB's if not for injury bug.

Now come on..... When was the last time you honestly believed the Steelers should have been in the Superbowl?

Last time for me, would have been with the Killer Bees in 2016. Also, the last time the Steelers won a playoff game.

we should be in the Superbowl every year ---that is how I see it no other way--- and throwing games ---tanking is just plain bull-:poopy:get better or get the he-- out-- we want to win not be scrubs. If you don't want Steelers to win or expect them to lose always you have no loyalty to the team and should bandwagon for whoever is winning or go bet on whoever is the best. I am a Steeler fan I don't bet on any NFL and I'm very disappointed when we lose. So YES I expect to win every year.

    I failed miserably

    Twice

First time I told her it wasn’t the pants and that didn't go well

So the next time I just said yes

    She hasn’t asked again

I’m not sure why my wife stays with me

It isn’t because of money she also built herself a very fine career

It wasn’t because of my good looks trust me

And I’m not guessing because of my charm

I talked her into moving to Pittsburgh I’m surprised that was not a deal breaker right there

Maybe it was something I did good in a previous life

Great post, James! It was George Allen who said it best...

When you lose, you die a little bit inside. Maybe it's a liver or an organ of some kind. Then, when you win, you're reborn again...

That's me, dying bit by bit from Mike Dumblin and his BS. He's hijacked my beloved organization, and frankly, I don't know what to do about it. All I know is, when you're born, the sand starts running out of the hourglass until you die...I lived through the late 80's in HS, the O'Donnell crap, and the Korky is a qb scheme...but this feels different. For the first time in my life, I feel HOPELESS as a Steelers fan, with no new coach coming anytime soon. I started out getting mad about it, but it's actually kind of depressing...

it will get better all we need is a good win---- like you said to ----To get us hyped up again. Then give us some hope for playoffs ---we do not want to go into this playoff gauntlet losing, or I'm afraid it will turn out like the regular season run we had. But guess what lose 1 in playoff ---we---done till next year---- then it all starts over with:popcorn::bscow::scratch::swoon::wave::herewego!:

He is a players coach they are gong to say positive things to backup their coach. I take all of that with a grain of salt. I watch the games the tape doesn’t lie. The offensive line not sustaining their blocks and the play breaking down or poorly designed plays or routes can be and has been the result of some of those turnovers. Not to mention those last three games were a heck of alot more than just turnovers. We were thoroughly beaten in all phases. That is a result of poor coaching. It seems to happen every year regardless of the players. It happened back when we had Ben, Ab and Leveon as well.

Regarding your comment on Belicheck’s coaching tree. At least he had a coaching tree.

Prove it! Prove your bullcrap. Prove their motivation to talk about his knowledge of X’s and O’s is due to loyalty on their part because he’s a players coach.
Y’all sit there and spew your made up bs about people you’ve never even spent a minute around and then pat yourselves on the back in some giant circle jerk

I agree with Steelresolve here! Playing for the ultimate "players coach" like Mike Dumblin would be an absolute dream for these players, for many reasons...

-- your coach is warm, soft, and gentle
-- you get to relax every season, year after year
-- you don't have to get too involved in game prep & film study, because your coach doesn't completely understand it, either
-- he'll keep you on the roster forever
-- you get your paycheck every week, no matter what
-- when you lose, it's never your fault
-- you don't have to worry about the pressure of winning a Lombardi Trophy
-- there's no accountability for your job with fans or the media
-- you don't have to worry about your coach getting fired
-- after you get the annual "NON-LOSING season" Trophy for your coach, your year is pretty much over & you can coast into the off-season
-- when old man Artie II comes down to the clubhouse after losses, you'll get compassion & hugs & kisses
-- every game you play is "good enough"
-- you don't have to worry about Dumblin drafting premium talent in April to challenge your job in fall camp
-- you don't have to worry about the media, because they only ask kind & gentle questions

this is either facetious (my money is on that)

or pure ignorance (which there is plenty of that here)
