Mehhh, I wouldn't go that far. He stands out because he has talent that is worlds apart from the rest of the group on this team. Just so happens he's a man-child who can't control his emotions.

Having to play Baltimore, KC and Buffalo is not an ideal road on the way to the SB. I would argue that's an impossibly difficult road.
Losing to the Bengals is simply not an option.

Did you see the numbers that Bryant put up while he was here?
#14 can’t find the ez. Granted we had a real qb in Ben and AB.

He's also lazy. It's quite common to see him half-assing his routes when he isn't getting the ball, or not blocking or not running his route at all like what happened yesterday.
Tomlin talks about splash plays, but it's the little things that make a championship team. Pickens isn't willing to do the little things.
That doesn't even get into the dysfunction that causes in the locker room.
Yet Tomlin continues to allow this.

DJ was a problem here for a long time and Tomlin tolerated it for a very long time. Baltimore cut his ass the first time he was a problem. It's called accountability and Tomlin has shown he doesn't hold guys accountable.

After the upcomong ist round road asskicking, it may be time to start looking at trading off some assets for draft positon.Bring in a fresh young OC and a strong DC.
I am not certain however how strong the QB draft class is next year. Same pld same old isn't cutting it

the key is TJ Watt, hes been pretty absent lately. Either hes hurt or teams have figured something out

They beat the ravens and Redskins (washington). It wasnt a mirage, it was injuries and perhaps something up with Watt. Teams are handling him. And Austin is not good enough to come up with something.

I think it's a little bit of both. I don't think he's quite what he used to be, and I think teams have finally figured out that if you neutralize him the rest of the team isn't going to do anything. So they've been chipping him and double teaming him more.

they have to get rid of that Marvin Lewis reject and find a real DC. Rooney should sit Tomlin down and tell him to keep out of the defensive planning. If he doesnt agree adios.

Not arguing the numbers. Just the talent level.

Won't argue that either. The comment was merely about talent level.

Losing to the Bengals is likely inevitable. Their offense is clicking on all cylinders and our defense can't get a stop on 3rd down. If Bengals didn't have the worst defense in the NFL, they would be competing with the Chiefs and Bills for #1 and #2 seed.

How can you say talent level so high when he only plays when his number is called? Seriously? Wow… he will make one or two catches that dazzles you.
Like I said he can’t find endzone. Would need a map to show him where it’s at. Lol

Lots of talk about one defender being the primary culprit on defense. Given all the blown coverages, it would have to be a defensive back. Only one starting defensive back has played the last three games and that is Minkah Fitzpatrick.

Chris Carter of the Post Gazette said it could be about Kazee, Sutton, or Minkah.

I know Elliot is calling out players for quitting, but the biggest quitter on Christmas had to be Mike Tomlin, who ended the game with all 3 timeouts in his back pocket. What happened to all Tomlin's BS about playing until the game whistle?

Last play of the game, the officials said there had to be a 10 second run off and the game was over, but was it??? Tomlin could have easily used 1 of the 3 timeouts he was holding to extended the game and make his offense go back out on the field and play until you hear the final whistle. Maybe this is just Tomlin's way of wanting to be one of the boys, and not standing up and being a real Head Coach.

Yes we are good enough to beat many teams in the league unfortunately those teams won't be in the playoffs.

His words are hollow. And still in his 18th season he cannot even adequately manage the clock, timeouts, challenges or much else related to game management. He goes for it at the wrong time, he plays safe at the wrong time. His situational awareness and instincts are mediacore at best.

Rah rah and trying to win like it's 1985 doesn't cut it any more.

I’ve seen all three of them seemingly blow coverages during this ugly stretch of losses.

Mahomes had guys open, Steelers, not so much. Russ could become more of a gun slinger I guess, but expect more INTs.

Austin and Jefferson are guys who should be used for quick hit routes - not Austin going down the sideline on a jump ball with 2 guys on him. guys aren't being used to suit their talents - especially Washington.

Steelers put up 44 pts. last time they played them. Perhaps this is just the medicine they need to get going before the playoffs. We'll see.

Yes, changing things up is key to keeping the opposing D off balance. Brady sure made a living out of the short slant passes. Not sure why the Steelers are hesitant to use it. They seem to prefer calling the screen pass, but hasn't been all that successful.
