Does he run with power? If so, why is he so bad at converting short yardage?

of course they knew - they KNEW Smith's scheme, style. they (the Leadership) had a big meeting and made that call. that is what some of us concluded in the spring.

Najee seems like a good dude and I wish him the best.

this TEAM needs to move on - and find some FIRE POWER on offense.

I didn't say 16, and off the top of my head, I don't know if I'll get to 16, but I'll go through the list and see what happens.
There's also whether we're considering age in the equation or if it's just who would you take right now with no regard for the future.

    Jonathan Taylor
    Saquon Barkley
    Derrick Henry
    Josh Jacobs
    Bijan Robinson
    Kyren Williams
    Jahmyr Gibbs
    Joe Mixon
    Alvin Kamara
    Aaron Jones
    Breece Hall
    De'Andre Swift
    James Cook

The stats don't support it, but I also think Kenneth Walker and JK Dobbins are much better. Dobbins can't stay healthy though. Hard to be better if you are never available.
But as I said in a previous post, I think Najee sits in the middle of the pack somewhere. He's just average and he can be replaced pretty easily. RB's are replaced all the time. James Connors is having a great season and many on this board didn't like him.

Play call, blocking from the Oline and Najee's lack of acceleration all factor into it.

Yet he's the only NFL RB to rush for 1,000 the last four years .

can't believe the low football IQ of some that can't see the difference between Warren and Harris. Even if they don't or can't they don't listen to Football reporters who have been covering Football for many years who say that Warren tight now is the better overall back.

Carrying the ball 6-8 times a game proves nothing, it doesn't mean Warren can be RB1 and carry the load.

He is restricted. A 2nd round tender will cost about $5M, right of first refusal is $3M. A multiyear contract in that range would be palatable.

Do you watch the games or read the Post Gazett Ray or Dulacs grades or analysis. I know your part of the Harris defense team but can you listen to objectives.

    FYI and FWIW-
Najee Harris is currently the 6th leading rusher in Steelers history. 3 of the 5 ahead of him are in the Hall of Fame.

He's a replacement level back who gets a lot of carries and yet delivers a below avg YPC avg. Four years of this, and I have no idea what people are seeing, he's got poor feet and vision and no speed whatsoever.

He's nowhere near as good as James Connor and we let him walk...
