...than the Steelers. It's been 10 years since the last playoff win.

Even the lowly Browns have won a playoff game more recently!

If we play Houston that may change this year. That team is more of a dumpster fire than us. Then we would get blown out by KC.

true - I would have a hard time calling this season a success still. HOU is on oxygen, but so are we.

It would be ONE MISERABLE playoff game to watch, that is for sure!!

our slow starts are becoming historic - and what was the stat yesterday about worst team in the league with first possessions? Just awful.....

The Standard is still the standard. Tomlin doesn’t see it as a problem or it would have been fixed long ago.

that is just pathetic, really. has to be bottom 3-4, 3 years in a row.

Tomlin is the single thread tie'ing it ALL together

I agree completely, I love our standard!!! We got a tough schedule, and now everyone wants to take a dump on this great man? Only the shrewd, clever, and top-notch head coaching by Mike Dumblin has kept this from being a 2 or 3 win season. If it was anyone else coaching this team, we wouldn't make the playoffs! You meanies that keep picking on Dumblin are just crazy, he's the best coach in NFL history, he's a leader among men, he's cool, and he's all ours, baby!

Nobody needs to care or worry about that stupid Lombardi Trophy, it's OVERRATED! I got a Dumblin poster on my wall and yet another non-losing season statistic to make me smile the entire off-season! We better sign Dumblin up for a 10-15 year extension, or somebody else will snatch him up!!!! If we lose him, it's all over...rah-rah-rah-rah....I'm not just drinking the damn Dumlin Kool-AID, I'm putting that sh!t in a beer funnel!!!! Tomlin isn't THE God, but he's a god...rah....rah...rah...rah...rahhhhhhh!!!!!!!

They probably aren't getting Houston unless they're able to beat Cincy (who will have something to play for unless they lose this week). If the Steelers lose in Week 18, they're probably the 6 (or possibly the 7) and go to Baltimore (or Buffalo).

It's been 8 years, not 10... but it wouldn't surprise me if the streak lasted 10+ years.

As an aside, I thought it was chuckle-worthy when they were showing MT's wife's clothing line - focusing specifically on the "The Standard is the Standard" shirt. I wonder if she realizes this saying is kind of a running joke around here? :roflmao:

I was thinking the same thing. 2 points. QB from rookie phenom to Ryan Leaf. That could/would be the saddest, most competitive playoff game. Whomever wins will still be a loser. LOL

That said, I agree, I can't imagine even the hapless Tomlin could blow a game against the sad-sack Texans right now. Sucks for us wanting an HC change, if he wins a playoff game, he's locked in for another 5 years, and we're locked out of being a contender.

...and Rooney doesn't see it as a problem or the Tomlin problem/handicap would have been fixed long ago. Starts at the very top. Rooney is fine with mediocrity, so long as his lemming fans buy enough season tickets to watch a bon-fire in the world-record sized dumpster.

Hey, that would be a funny deal (and appropriate). Instead of a game, pick a week next year and surprise all the fans with just a dumpster with a fire in it at mid-field and announce, "This is your 2025 Steelers, lead by the incomparable Michael Tomlin!"

That is what I'm thinking now 6 or 7 seed but hoping the rest of week 17 favors us. Bengals have to play Broncos. Not sure but if Broncos beats them that last game could be meaningless for Bengals.
