We played the three toughest games of the season and got blown out in all three of them.

 

I can't see Russ winning another game for Pittsburgh. Fields is the future

EDIT - there are other STRONG teams, AKA - the Lions, Bills, Vikes, and PACK that too would kick our ASS!

Tomlin is the common denom in our weakness for many many years.

Wrong. Fields is not the answer. He's not even as good as Kordell was.

 

If Fields is the future, we're not winning another playoff game for another decade, lol

 

He's not the future either. The next franchise QB isn't on this roster. Wouldn't be surprised if neither are in Pittsburgh next season

 

We just have to open the playbook up .. We need Fields and Russ on the field at the same time .. We need at least 6 deep balls per game to GP.. Warren should be the starter .. Play less zone and more man .. Blitz the good QB's more ...If we do these things we will have a better chance at least ...

 

Yes they are second to last game of the season and offense looks like Matt Canada 1.02 . Defense getting torched in the middle of the field like they have for most of the season.
Game 16 and secondary looks confused KC is playing 3 dimensional chess and we are playing checkers.
Yes we have injuries but so does every team in the league.
Pickens is still a spoiled child, an unbelievable talent but on the edge of a meltdown, you just see it in his attitude.
Heading towards another one and done.

 

First game of the 2025 season IMO Russ ain't going no where but Fields will want to leave. Again, just an opinion but if the Steelers find another wide receiver and the O-line progresses Russ will have an easier time.

Gonna be a curious draft in 2025.

Of course they were always pretenders. Three great teams exposed them.

I don't even care if this team somehow wins the division. Chargers, Denver, or Baltimore will come in and knock them out.

They shouldn't even be favored over the Bengals at this point.

 

As long as Tomlin is our future, this will be our future.

 

We were without pickens for 2 of the 3. And if Wilson didn't mature a mistake twice, we would have won.

Now quit crying, and go enjoy Christmas.

 

Neither is the answer. They’ll bring back Russ short term with little money guaranteed and draft a QB in round 3-5.

Realistically the team needs a rebuild. All the stars are at the tail end of their careers and there are no obvious replacements on the roster.

 

The most disheartening thing for me is the fact that our lines got eaten alive the past 3 games. That was the aspect that Weidle and company were brought here to rebuild. Having a great WR group doesn't matter if Russ and Justin are on their backs. The first two people that need to be shown the door after the season is over is Pat Meyer and Terryl Austin.

 

Teams know how to stop us on both sides. We can’t do anything and just give up/fold. Going to be a quick exit in the playoffs again. It’s not a bad day when it’s 3 bad losses in a row.

 

Another late season collapse limping into postseason. Expect to be embarrassed by the bungholes then getting rolled in the WC game. It's the Tomlin way. This is your life, steelers fans.

 

Good Lord...in jr. high, high school, and college, Fields is a top-tier qb.

At the Pro level, Fields is an out-of-position rb/scatback sent to the NFL scrap heap, & picked up by an IDIOT like Mike Dumblin. No way Steelers fans that post this "Fields is the future" garbage is over 25 years old...no way!

 

This team is stuck in the middle.

They aren't bad enough to draft a franchise QB. They aren't good enough to beat great teams.

At least with a team like NE, they suck but have a young stud (looks like) QB.

Fields/Wilson aren't the answer. This team needs to totally rebuild. Take two steps back in order to take one giant step forward.

 

I’ve hated on Tomlin, I’ve defended him. I think he’s a cool coach but man I want to be relevant again. This cycle is getting old…

 

No way I pay the $$ Wilson wants next year he hasn't impressed me one damn bit this year and he gets worse everygame...
