Your logic is a FAIL. The Steelers were a top tier team when Tomlin was hired. The Steelers are now a mid-tier team that has not won a playoff game for eight years. That is not a record of stellar success for the head coach. Tomlin would be hired by a lower tier team and he would not succeed in making them more successful because of his coaching weaknesses.
