To be fair, Moore and Jones were really big question marks coming into the season, so a versatile tackle wasn't necessarily a bad pick. It has not worked out so far, and Mitchell is looking like a star, but looking at things in hindsight is always easier. Smith's offense is reliant on an effective offensive line, and the Steelers had a lot of questions on that front going into the draft.

For many of us, it isn’t hindsight. I wrote that they should take a center or cornerback before the pick. I maintained that they should have done so right after the pick. I didn’t hate the value of Fautanu, but center was the most desperate need and cornerback was at least as big a need as tackle and Mitchell was too good of a value to pass up. Yes, Moore is set to be a free agent, but so is Jackson. The also could have moved Jackson to the slot in place of Bishop, who has not been good outside of that one big game.

The mistake of taking Fautanu could have been even more damaging if the Steelers hadn’t been so lucky to have Frazier fall to them in the second round.

I agree about Frazier. We lucked out there. I was actually a fan of drafting Barton in round one, but Frazier looks like he will be a good one.

Last year was the linebacker core. Pulling fans out the stands to play
Get used to all the injuries with the longer season. This will be the standard

Even tho this OL isn’t playing good right now, I feel real good about the young talent they have. Another year or 2? Let them gel. A lot of 1 n 2 yr OL. NFL time frame to get situated is around 3 years

Giving up on our young OL after 1 season is even done? Come on my guy. This isn’t high school or college ball.
First rd of draft this year i would def be looking for secondary or DL help. OL going to gel and get better with time.

    Not with Meyer coaching them

If they are serious they will replace him this off season w a QUALITY OL coach or bad habits will be cemented in place

A lot of talent, but w most ast coaches under Mike not good enough

Got lucky w Grimm n Munchek rest meh at bedt

Actually the loss to Tebow was most definitely because of injury/health per se

If Ryan Clark played that game we don’t loose

    This.

Unless some people want to have Russell Wilson reeanct the 2021 Steelers Offensive Line; comprising of nothing but two rookies, an All Pro Guard playing the wrong position, another Offensive Guard that was completely washed and a Right Tackle that could sustain a block on a Running Play if you payed him too.... oh wait...

Having the "Leigon of Boom", Denvers "No Fly Zone" or even the vaunted Oakland "Soul Patrol" isnt gonna protect your QB worth a damn. If your starting QB gets knocked out, your chances of winning take a nosedive. For reference, see those very same Eagles without Jalen Hurts from Sunday.

I don’t care who we were missing letting Tebow do that was inexcusable and pathetic from the coaches to the players.
