I would tend to agree. OSU and PSU especially looked championship caliber. The home game/field in the playoff was significant advantage as well. I'm obviously happy my school made the playoff, but as a fan I'm disappointed the season ended on December 21st with a road game and not a neutral site bowl type game. I always look forward to my team playing in a bowl game closer to new years eve or new years day. Now with my team's season being over before Christmas, it feels crappy like we didn't even make a bowl type of season. Clearly that isn't the reality but it just feels bad especially the way that UT just didn't even seem prepared for what OSU had for them. Outplayed and outcoached on both sides of the ball by a large margin. Oh well, there's always next year. LOL. Maybe the committee should consider neutral site bowl games for the first round of the playoff next season?

I think there will be many considerations and lots of discussions about what works or doesn't regarding the playoffs. Should higher seeded teams be rewarded with a home playoff game? I think the initial decision was yes. Have to wait and see if that changes.

The home field awarded to higher seed is one problem i have no problem with. Teams need to be rewarded for having more success.
Sorry your Vols took a beatdown, i didnt see that coming. I will forever wonder how the Gamecocks would’ve done if they made it in this year.

Yes, it was a bad night for the Vols and highlights that they still have a long way to go to be a championship caliber team. SC got better every week and I'm sure nobody wanted to play them late in the season or in postseason. I look forward to seeing what they do in the citrus bowl. How are things looking for next year for SC?

I think it would be cool for it to be 16 teams with no bye week for anyone. Keep home field for first round. 16 would keep the teams that get hot at the end of the year in play.
