I agree with keeping/extending Russell Wilson... but Steelers ain't winning jack sh!t in the playoffs with hobbled Watt and no Pickens.

We've no choice but to keep RW because we've no-one better but he is not the answer and is he's only declining. Gotta have elite QB play last night, we got Mark Sanchez.

We're not going to go anywhere deep in the post season without an elite QB, I've no idea how we get one either, and you have even less chance picking late in the 1st every season. This team has a ceiling and we've seen that ceiling over and over again since the last playoff win.

Oh yeah.... and Judas Priest is a great band with many great songs. With the exception of Detroit Rock City.... Kiss blows chunks. Most generic, boring, bland rock band ever.

I tend to agree about Kiss but I dug them in concert. If they didn't paint their faces they'd have never been big. Stanley Theater in Pittsburgh which I'm sure is long gone. Saw them with Rush and the Heavy Metal Kids.

they SHOULD have sat Watt (I tried to notify the ORG of that last week) and I am guessing Pickens may go this Wednesday? If not, he will be playoff ready, I have to think.

(boy - that TOMLIN discipline has been HARSH!!!!)

but us and HOU are looking like rags entering the playoffs, at this point.

I partially agree. I think everything after the Destroyer album was boring and glammy sounding, but I love the live versions of their early stuff. Kiss Alive is a great live album.

What do you think would be a fair price for Russ next year? And how much will Russ demand? Obviously our cost this year was a bargain with Denver footing the bill. I don't see the steelers giving him $40M next season and I don't see Russ accepting less than that.

Pretty sure we'd all be extremely happy with a win in the playoffs. It's been a long time since it happened. Signed, A Hater.

You may be correct on both sides if this, but there is more to this than just a simple figures being thrown out. How realistic were the reports from the source on Dan Patrick this week, stating that they feel comfortable with Russ and will likely offer a deal similar to what TB gave Baker? It could all be smoke, but likely has some truth and reasoning behind it. Making the adjustments it could be around 3 year 100 to 125 with 50 to 60 plus guaranteed. Now Russ can outright reject it, negotiate a bit more, or sign. Where is he going to go? He likes MT, has played pretty well under this system with less than stellar weapons. Money will be a factor, but I do not believe the major thing between both sides. There may be interest in the market, but he has done the Denver thing that lead to disaster. He has at least reestablished himself, and if the conversation is how and possibly who they can bring in, the possibility of regaining HOF status, and going out with a possible trophy can very well lead him to take less so the team can build more around him.

Can it be done with the wealth of QB talent in the AFC alone? In the last decade it has been done several times, this team needs some FA pick ups, a good draft, and they can be in the mix. The last 2 games showed obvious flaws, but a core element on this team is pretty damn good.

What happened is what I feared.
The guys Omar signed from out in front of the Wal-Mart caught a few passes but were worthless elsewise.
As an owner, he's going to have to sit in my office and answer some serious questions.

    Injuries did us no favors.

While I agree with Glen, I think it is an 'only-choice' to sign Wilson. The stupid fumble and the pick were backbreakers.
I think you have to sign him and balk till 2026 for QB.

There are good players on this team that should be kept.
There are also some upgrades needed.

    So to the game:
-Lamar was Lamar, choking whenever a big game happens. If we had been Detroit, Buffalo or KC, the score would have been reversed.
A pick, could have been 3, and a fumble are his usual things. The Steelers played him well, not letting him run and forcing him to do what he does worst, pass.
MVP my butt. The order is
    Josh Allen
    Jeff Goff
    Mahomes
    Herbert
    Some guy in Philadelphia.

    - The secondary could not afford injury, that's exactly what happened.
    - Henry had a good game. Probably the real reason they won. I don't like the schemes our DC comes up for 'Big Games' with but then again, injures make it tough to really know.

Best we can finish now is 2-2 in th3e stretch.... most likely 1-3 and 0-4 is a real possibility.

0-5 to end the season. It’s really too bad the HC is never held accountable.

All show, no substance. They were not great musicians, but they had a stage show and a look. You want to see a stage show AND talent, go see Alice Cooper.

Yes, the Stanley closed in about 1984 or 85. I saw the last show there, Yngwie Malmsteen/Ted Nugent. Malmsteen was amazing, I wasn't very familiar with him at the time. But Ted was Ted. Unreal.

I don't generally disagree with all the criticism of Tomlin, but given the injuries, I can't understand laying all the blame for these last two losses at his feet. They were in that game yesterday all the way until the 4th quarter. The final score was a bit misleading. Like I said, the worm was due to turn for the Rats. Yeah, they had their moment in the sun. I think the Steelers beat them with a healthy defense and Pickens on the field. No, I don't think Pittsburgh is an elite team even when fully healthy. But I'll be damned if I invest watching them all year round, following the happenings in the offseason to throw my hands up and say "screw it" because they've had some struggles lately. In for a penny, in for a pound.
