Austin is starting to make those of us that pimped him coming out of college look good.

Look, I don’t hate the guy. But as Hyman Roth says in Godfather II, Calvin Austin is small potatoes, He’s a shrimp, he goes down with a strong gust of wind. His speed is seductive, but he does squat on kick returns, when Pickens returns he’ll be 2 catches for 11 again. If he leaves in the off season, he’s imminently replaceable.

Austin is cheap and under contract for next season, so I don't see him leaving in the offseason.

Once again, when asked who was the hardest wr to cover in college, Sauce Gardner replied Calvin Austin aka CA3

If he’s cheap and under contract fine. I’m not advocating cutting him or anything. But he’s the small speedy WR tease, that always promises a breakout year that never comes.

Nate Herbig, Leal, Trice, Ogungobi. They are always hurt, wouldn't waste cap space on them.

Pitts biggest mistake was wasting a pick on Pickett! That hurt! We need a franchise QB. Like it’s been said Wilson is month to month! If someone waves a few dollars more and make him feel like a SB is attainable now, he gone! He is chasing retirement dollars!

Unfortunately Pickett did not have the heart and intellect to be a competitor in the NFL

That is an unfortunately obvious fact

This is something you just can not measure when evaluating the draft

No one saw the desire and intelligence Brady had for example

I watched Trent McDuffie today play another great game for the Chiefs and am still pissed that we passed him over for Kenny Pickett.

Really, I'd mostly just want to see Najee go. If Russ wants more than 20-25 a year, I'm probably good on him leaving too. We could drop Williams and Jefferson and not even know they left. Roberts is probably another...

He's a #3 WR what do you expect him to put up 1,000 yards? He gets maybe 3 targets a game and fans complain like he's not good enough .

    He's better than a 4 or 5, he's outproducing their #2 WR Jefferson.

Patterson and Pruitt both has beautiful tough TD catches. Russ and Arthur just need to give them chances. They aren't bad players, especially Patterson even though he's older. If Najee leaves, I'd like to see him stay.

    You mean "eminently replaceable"

If he's that replaceable why is he by far and away our 2nd best WR?

Vann Jefferson is eminently replaceable because he's not an NFL caliber WR, with no tool.

I'm curious as to why you begin fixing our sub standard WR corps, by letting go our 2nd best option?

He showed to me last night that he's not going to get it done in the biggest of big games, gotta have that game last night, the division is almost gone now IMO. If we lost and he didn't give the game away which he did, then fair enough, but he directly cost us 14 points on just two plays, 1TD for and 1 TD against on the pick 6.

He's still a top 15 starter because the level of QB'ing in the NFL today is so poor, but in an AFC loaded with game best QB's - Mahomes, Allen, Burrow and I'll throw in Jackson because he has endless good games aginst everyone else, he's not going to get it done, it's too loaded. I was willing him on last night to carry us, to show he could still pujt ateam on his back in the biggest games, and the almost to the second you're starting to believe it, he fumbles the ball at the 2 instead of sliding down.

We're in a tailspin now - and the season script we have seen time and time again is in the mail.

I'd keep Trice he's cheap, he has talent, but next season is his last chance. Any player's most important tool is availability IMO.

There's no offense without 14, we all knew what would happen to the season the moment we heard "Pickens limited in practice hamstring".
