Same ND that lost to Northern Illinois?
I’m still scratching my head how they got in playoffs, esp since in 2016 how they did PSU for losing to Pitt in 3 week of season!

I just don't think he's a high caliber NFL prospect. Much to volatile of a player. Struggles with accuracy, has struggled to perform in the big games. He does make some crazy plays with his legs in the pocket and has a good arm, so some team will like him enough to draft him of course.... but IDK about him. I've tried to like him as a player, but he's tough to watch.

 

He highly benefits from :
A weak schedule
B awesome running game
C defense

 

He has the prototype in size for a qb. Other assets not so good

 

He's got a lower ceiling than Levis imo, but he isn't a turnover machine like Levis has been. I don't think he looks like an NFL QB tbh.

 

He runs well and makes some creative escapes from the pocket... but yeah I don't think his arm is "wow" like Levis' was and I don't think he's shown enough QB skills. Maybe he develops further next year.

They dominated an overrated group who was too busy licking all over themselves and didn't bother to come play football until the last 5 minutes of the game. The knock on IN was that they didn't play anybody and that showed last night. We'll see how they fare against a legit contender next week. ND would have lost to almost every other team in the playoff the way they played last night. IN is just that bad to make ND look good, IMO.

Penn State's defense is owning this game. SMU can't do anything. Going to be interesting to see if Penn State can slow Jeanty down though. Strength on strength in that one. Penn State got a hell of a playoff draw to the semis.

 

Another top 12 team that honestly didn’t belong either in SMU… going to find out later Clemson is another that don’t belong, automatic bid for winning the:
Almost
Athletic
Conference

 

Too much for the #3 seed… almost funny saying Boise State the #3 seed
Also agree defense winning this game, offense struggling to this point. But saying that, I think the floodgates are about to open.

 

The QB for SMU is better than he is playing today, He got paid. The fix is in.

By the way, i grew up with Lindsey Nelson. Really liked the way he talked!

 

Add SMU to the list of teams who don't belong in the playoff along with Indiana and AZ st. Boise St is also suspect. Alabama and South Carolina would have been more competitive than what we've seen so far. Hell, Florida could have played tougher that what we've seen with Indiana and SMU.

 

There just aren't 12 good college teams. There is no group of 12 teams that are going to give you 4 competitive round 1 games. Expanding the field is just going to give us 4 more weak games.

I am fine with the automatic bids... but the top 4 teams need the bye. There's no reason for ASU and BSU to have byes. Texas and PSU should have gotten those spots imo. Or ND...
