So many things factor into a successful season. Many things dictate winning or losing a playoff game. I don't think you can just be yes or no until one or the other happens and why it happens.

If the Steelers lose the division, lose in the wildcard round, and look clueless doing it, it would be hard to feel good about it.

But for the season, we learned we can win with Russ and with Fields, George Pickens is the real deal, and the secondary it's hella improved. Plus this is the best the OL has looked as a whole in 5 seasons. Arthur Smith is a genuine NFL OC.

As the almighty dollar takes over sports I expect at some point over 50% of teams will make Playoffs.

There's a difference between a successful season and a satisfying one. Making the post season has to be considered a success but one and done isn't satisfying.

I don't see winning one playoff as taking a step forward. Maybe if that had any effect on the next season, but it doesn't. Every year is a different team, and you start from scratch.

At least we may have some idea who are QB might be next year. That's something.

Get to the AFFC game. I think we can beat anyone but the Bills.

You have to keep in mind that Jeh went to school when they were still teaching Old English.

Well he was in the AFC title game last year and I sure don't want the Steelers to face him in the playoffs in the first round this year.

I believe anyone that picked the team to go only 8, 9, or less wins should honestly, and realistically say already it's a successful season... since it's already past what You thought,,but of course we know most of them won't. I on the other hand though 10 wins, and at least one playoff game. So if we get that....it's successful to me....anything else will be icing on the cake for me.
Nothing more amusing than to watch people that thought we would win only 7 games, and complain after we've won 10. Shows their character.

As beat up as we are and the Ravens being completely healthy and a 7 point favorite at home, this would be a devastating loss for the Ravens. Not only would it clinch the division for us but it would send the Ravens on the road for the playoffs.

The Chargers? The franchise that went 14-2, went to the AFCCG and then fired their coach? Next went with the team killing Norv Turner? Those Chargers? Tomlinson never stood a chance with the Spanos'.

keep hopes low, TRUST ME - you will feel better on Sat eve.

Pickens should not be playing, neither should Watt. Rest - and BEAT KC and Cincy (which, BTW - won't be easy esp if Cincy 'wins and they are in')

    Signed,

It literally happened in the first series of the game, Mikey. Care to exagerate a little more?

you are correct, that is my memory mistake. I confused the game later in the year when he CARVED us up with the early part of the Playoff game.

my apologies, I do stand corrected.

regardless - as it was stated, we DODGED a bullet as Palmer was a MVP candidate that season, he was the early version of Joe Burrow, who I am not excited to see week 18, if the Bungles and us both WANT that game. Cincy had it going with both of those guys.
