People clinging onto "If Najee hadn't fumbled" as if the 7 was a certainty, far from it, we are terrible in the red zone, we got down to 4 after getting 2 fumble recoveries almost back to back, and then they **** that up. We were comprehensively outplayed by a better team on the day. Tomlin's risk/reward assesment was as poor as ever, though I think in this case was irrelevant.

I don't even blame Russel Wilson for that game either. There wasn't much he could do to be honest. That Eagles pass rush is no joke and they are like six-seven deep. That is the kind of front that can win a Superbowl. They could rush 4 all game, stuffed the run, and without Pickens the passing game suffered.

Tomlin really needed to gamble in that spot given Barkley and the Eagles rushing attack.

I wish the Steelers had the Eagles depth in the trenches. All those first round picks they invested in that area shows. We need to seriously get younger and deeper in that area in the draft given all the QB's in the AFC.

If Tomlin were let go tomorrow he would be hired as a HC in the NFL before Christmas. Belichick wants too much control and that is why some NFL teams have passed on him. He goes to a college for 30 million dollars and he can hang out with some of his girlfriends age group.

F--- it ---it was an acceptable loss to show we still suck. We are not Elite we are average to pathetic. Still missing lots of pieces to win Superbowl. Hopefully our QB is in this draft. Not a homer.. with little hands but someone great. We have lots of work to do. I don't care if we lose first round of playoffs. If Eagles make Superbowl they would destroy us. Every other NFC team we ---might---have a shot. So let's roll the dice see what happens .But we better get a home game. for the playoffs...

The point of that is they were in the game at that point. They had a shot. Nobody said it was a sure thing.

The not going for the 4th and 7 was not the sole reason for the loss, but it did solidify the outcome.

Agree, Tomlin would get a HC job immediately.... if he still wanted to be a HC. I can see him going the Cowher route after he's done with the Steelers.

I don't understand why the Cowboys, Belichick, etc... don't set their organization up like the Steelers and most other franchises with Owner > GM > HC. With a competent GM and Jerry Jones getting the hell out of the way.... Cowboys would be dominant again. Look at the Commanders without Snyder meddling in everything.

I recall the Eagles converting a 2nd and 20 ( should have been 1st and 30, but they probably would have converted that too )

If I'm not mistaken, I think the rules of drinking clearly state , When participating in events like bowling, golf or 1 year old birthday parties, alcohol must be consumed at the start of these events, no exceptions.

What exactly does an eagles conversion have to do with the Steelers going for or not going for a 4th and 7?

…..or 1 year old birthday parties. it makes Chuck E Cheese more tolerable. Plus you can join in when the really drunk trailer trash parents start beating up the puppets.
