they will ask and let Lamar run (literally run) wild. If he does, we should take the penalty and knock him out.

    we won't do that either.....

We barely beat them last time, we FG's. We CANNOT score much w/o Pickens.

We may lose, but mailing it in before the teams have even taken the field is weak. Did you think we’d beat the Ravens with KFP last year? Our defense held the mighty Lamar to 10 points that day in October and our inside LBs are far better now. The injuries hurt, but other guys will need to step up.

You know… it’s ironic that you posted another thread about just playing to win and Tomlin living in his fears during the Eagle game.

So, push to win a non conference game, but throw a game between division leaders because we “can’t” win. Weak.

    nope - not at all.

    I use complete logic.

Sunday vs. the Eagles was not a huge loss - I don't ever LIKE to lose, but that one too, I fully expected. I said entering this stretch what we would drop 2 or 3. It will happen.

    LET THE BOYS HEAL

EDIT - BTW, i had a similar thought entering the EGGLES game, NO NEED to beat them, so, entering this stretch, TAKE IT EASY vs them, get focused on Baltimore.

now - we have an injured TJ and have lost Jackson at CB. Sure - guys get hurt, it sucks. But we don't need to get MORE guys banged up against enemy #1 in a game w/o Pickens that we can't generate points.

I'm 99% sure we will lose on Saturday but still you have to play the best guys you have available. You never know what could happen, we block a punt for a TD, scoop up a fumble and run one in or Austin returns a punt to the house. We probably need all of those things to win but you still have to go out and give your best.

Their receivers and TEs have been making plays all season and the Steelers secondary has been shaky lately, if the Steelers don't pressure Lamar it's going to be a long day.

Those are all good arguments for why they can win Saturday. I wonder if the Ravens are going to be smarter about how they attack the Steelers this time. They did not give Henry the ball nearly enough in that first game.

I wouldn't entirely dismiss Jackson as a passer. He has gotten better this year, though I wouldn't put too much stock in his carving up the Giants. They have given up.

I'm sold. I denounce myself for saying his plan made sense. I understand the logic, but they can't just give up the opportunity to win the division Saturday.

The game we should have rested players , was last week against a NFC team that meant nothing. Then they could have had all the starters rested for the game that actually means something this week the Ravens. JMO.

I wouldn’t have rested players for the entire game, but I also wouldn’t have had all of our defensive starters on the field in the final minutes. By the time Watt went down, I was yelling at my TV to start pulling key defenders.

I'm not saying they would, but I personally would have rested all my older , most needed players for the Eagles game. Hell I've been catching hell about saying this since a week before the Eagles game. It absolutely meant nothing,,but pride to us. Especially with a 10-3 record at the time, and two division games left to play. JMO

Well, seeding was solidly in play. Buffalo played at Detroit and KC was playing at the Jekyll & Hyde Browns who decide to actually play football at the darnedest times.

Now, I just want the division and the home playoff game.

    That's all I ever wanted.
With only the 1st seed getting a bye now if You can't get that, then Division win is all that matters , and I was pretty confident that having a healthy TJ Watt we would win against the Ravens.....again.

well......they have Zay and Andrews - both pro bowl caliber + that other big TE. We can struggle vs. TE's.

and .... of course, Michael Lamar Vick.....

But if you can grab the #2 seed, you stay home in the divisional round as well if you take care of business in the wild card round.

I trust Tomlin's history vs Harbaugh.

I don't care who suits up, play the game to win the game. You can rest everybody for the next 2 weeks after wrapping up the division.

This is insane no team is resting players when divisions and home playoff games are on the line! Now why MT didn’t pull guys late in the Eagles game Ill never know.

it's not insane IF TJ and Pickens aren't playing.

it is outside of the box thinking - which is what BRILLIANT thinking minds would be contemplating. so......it won't happen on Saturday.;)

We can look back in a few weeks and judge whether it would have been the right move. Stay tuned.

YES - TJ got hurt when the game was out of reach on Sunday. He should have been off the field.
