Some of these people think you just throw someone out there and voila everything works

Isaiah Bond is actually WR 2 for me as far as options the Steelers should go after. The first you ask?! Emeka Egbuka from Ohio State. Hot damn can he run routes!!

Egbuka is probably the safer pick. He's got a little more frame (6'1", 205), very fluid route runner who gets open quickly and is comfortable in space. He's also underrated as a run-blocker. That said, I'd be lying if I said I wasn't intrigued by the explosiveness Bond brings.

    Oh trust me....

There is a reason I am more inclined to have Bond than Egbuka. Between me and you, Emeka is a Top 15 Talent in the class. For that matter, he, Luther Burden III, T Mac and Isaiah Bond are more or less the "Big Four" among WRs; five if Hunter declares that he will play WR. I expect Emeka to be long gone by the team the Steelers are on the board.

Regardless.... Bond's pure speed, agility and acceleration are all very much a real thing. I'd still want to beef up the IDL in Round 1 given how superb this incoming class is but given Pittsburgh's recent draft history under Khan, the team often goes for the "best of the best" of prospects that the team needs; this season coincidentally being WR. This Wide Receiving Class is good but not nearly as great as other media pundits would make you believe; Travis Hunter or not.

Overall, if Bond is the best remaining BPA option even with the likes of Tyleik Williams from Ohio State and Derrick Harmon from Oregon on the board?!.... take the damn hypercar from Texas. Pair him up with the likes of Pickens, Roman Wilson and CAII and just watch the Offense pop off.... provided there are no injuries of course.

Five year vet who knows the speed of the pro game, knows terminology, has experience with special teams, yeah maybe you throw him in during the last 3 weeks and he holds his own. I'd feel more comfortable with the activating Holcomb than I would Wilson because he has experience. Wilson just has missed so much. If and that's a pretty big if they have a deep playoff run maybe activate him as a gadget play but not at the expense of a valued roster spot.

I mean, I was at training camp and I was super excited watching Roman. He looked like a young Hines Ward to me. But at this point in the season, trying to force him in is kind of pointless with only a couple of reps all season.

You came to this conclusion after one practice?

If our playoff seed is settled going into the Bengals game and Roman Wilson is healthy, then throw him in there and let him learn during an actual game. That will help him tremendously when he returns next year that he has actual game experience.

If he is getting to health, then get him some reps. You NEVER know - first Q playoff game - someone goes down, there is always next man up.

I read all sorts of stuff on him right now. Dulac says this and that, but it is Dulac.....

Came to what conclusion? I just said watching him during training camp reminded me of Hines Ward. What's hard to understand?

    Hardly

I find it laughable that anyone would draw conclusions or if you prefer a comparison about a rookie that we saw for exactly one practice. Is that clear enough for you? Are words other than suck too much for you to grasp?

So? That doesn't mean he didn't look good before that. I didn't declare him the savior of all football, just said what I saw reminded me of Hines. It's really not that hard to understand.

No, you just like arguing. You are chasing an argument that doesn't exist.

I hate to throw cold water on all the hopeful thoughts, but if you think logically, everybody should know that Roman Wilson is not going to save us. Good Steeler receivers have long history of doing stupid stuff and acting like immature brats. As Roman Wilson has not been in the news, it seems clear to me that he hasn't been doing stupid stuff. That means there's no chance he's a great receiver for the Steelers........

I believe they have shelved him for the season, Apparently he was hurt
    worse than what was reported.
