No you won't. You'll just keep wanking about coaching. With your group, Tomlin has always sucked. "He only won with Cowhers players"! Sound familiar? When Tomlin gets replaced, people like you will be the first ones to want the new guy gone as soon as he: loses/doesn't challenge/ DOES challenge/ doesn't use TOs/ DOES use TOs..................

It would be that the better team won, but I wouldn't be nearly as critical of the coaching. A loss is a loss. Better to take some risks and give your team a shot.

Tomlin does not have the intelligence to be an above-average coach. He does not know when to take risks. He takes stupid risks at the wrong time and plays it safe at the wrong time. His failures at clock management are the stuff of legend at this point. Tomlin does not know how to evaluate and develop talent. He can relate to the players well, especially since so many players are African-American. But when you haven't won a playoff game for eight years, your seat should be very hot, if you still have a seat. Very few, if any, other teams would have kept Tomlin for such a long playoff drought. It's time for regime change in Pittsburgh. But I know we will be waiting for another couple years before that happens.

According to the "surrender index" (@surrender_idx90 on X), that decision ranks in the 98th percentile of the most cowardly punts of the 2024 season. It would be in the 95th percentile of all cowardly punts since 1999.

It was a cowardly punt. There were plenty of other reasons why we lost the game, but that was a place to go for it 100% of the time. We lost anyways, so had we gotten the first down we gave ourselves a chance. We don't get it, we lose the game by two scores regardless. There was no reason to punt. None at all. That is the gripe, and it is a very valid one.

Tomlin said in his presser he punted because of the distance he said if it was shorter they would've gone for it.

an elementary explanation by a word salad HC

GAME WAS OVER when he punted.

ODDS of getting it back TWICE and SCORING 2 TD's were .00000248.

The Steelers didn't do anything on offense the whole game, but you think they were just going to convert on 4th and 7 .

This was a big reason why they lost Gainwell converted three third downs because of missed tackles by the Steelers.

The defense was gassed because of the ineptitude of the offense ;).

And if the defense got a stop we had given ourselves a chance. Our offense had been largely anemic for the entire game. We aren’t talking about 4th and 1, but 4th and 7. How many plays in the entire game gained over 7 yards?

The problem with Herm was he didn’t win games, and was fired twice

Analytics say.... meh. Wouldn't have had much of a chance for success, and even if they got the 1st, it wouldn't have changed the outcome. But, feel free to continue to rant about an inconsequential play:

Problem with the year out is players who are aging age another year. Heyward and Watt may not be to the level we are use to. Need a lot of upgrades. I'm assuming Russell Wilson will be our QB. IMO he won touch another SB but he'll keep that .500 record or better alive.

By my count we had run 45 plays(not including punts, kickoffs, or penalties)and only gained 7 or more yards on 5 of them. Basically screw their index.
