I know some of y'all are Tomlin/ Wilson Loyalist, but since Wilson has been struggling the past few games what's it gonna hurt to Play Fields if Wilson continues to Struggle? Hell maybe even start him agame Since we already clinched a PO bert

We already saw what Fields can do and it wasn't overly impressive.

Fields wouldn't do much better without Pickens playing, also Fields got injured against the Eagles.

He's been better than Fields, but no, I don't think he's been great. Neither of our QB's are great.

You really think Fields in this offense would be much better he couldn't even get the ball to Pickens, Wilson has thrown 10 TDs and only one interception.

'Cause Fields is not very good. If you just want your QB to run the ball, play the wildcat

I don't feel like you watched the games if you think Fields is the better option than Wilson so a response didn't feel warranted.

    1. If we have clinched our seed before week 18, then Fields should start the last game vs. Cincinnati.

    2. The notion that Wilson is “struggling” is silly. The past two weeks have been a struggle because our biggest receiving threat is injured and the O line has been inconsistent at best.

    3. Fields isn’t a quality NFL QB. We won with him “Pickett style.”

I honestly can’t fathom what you think see in Fields to suggest that he is the answer to anything more than a backup QB role.

No. We need to stick with Wilson, since that is our best shot at winning in the playoffs. I don't think Wilson gives us a higher floor than Fields since he's had some really bad stinkers and is more prone to turning it over than Fields has been, but his ceiling has been higher. The deep ball has given us a much better threat that didn't exist when Fields was QB.

I really like Fields, and think he'd be a good option for us moving forward as a bridge QB with upside... hell, he might even be the better option when Pickens is out, because Wilson isn't going to be throwing for 200 yards when none of our WR's can get open and Fields can at least use his legs to manufacture offense for us. But with a healthy Pickens, Wilson is the better option because of his deep ball. We've been a better offense with that hitting and that is undeniable.

The only way Fields should start a game for us in 2024(outside of a Wilson injury of course) is if we beat the Ravens and Chiefs and have the division and #3 seed locked up. We'd be fine resting Wilson and some starters week 18 against Cincy and could be fine letting Fields get the nod at that point.

party sure we one a game with Wilson, just by kicking Fgs also.. Pickens is a big miss, but to think that's the only reason Wilson is struggling is laughable.. ...

    1. Exactly

    2. He's had a few games where he's struggled (Baltimore, Washington), but with a healthy Pickens he's been mostly good. He's not been good without Pickens, but Fields would have a hard time throwing it without GP too (though you could argue his legs would help a lot in this case)

    3. Disagree. He was the 15th rated passer in his 6 starts and was giving us 223 yards per game passing and running. He certainly wasn't a high end player, but we over-sheltered him in my opinion. He's an NFL starting quality player, that is undeniable, but he's probably an average option at this point.

Our biggest problem right now is that our defense isn't good enough to beat a good team when the offense isn't kicking (except for Baltimore because we apparently are the only team in the league that can stop Lamar). We pretty much HAVE to score 27+ points if we want to win in the postseason against a quality team, and hope the defense helps get a turnover or two. We probably need Wilson in there if we want the best chance at hitting that number

That some folks can’t see that Wilson is a significantly better QB than Fields is a big WOW for me. I sure as hell don’t get how people can watch both of them play and not see it. Wilson isn’t perfect by any means, but he’s vastly superior to Fields.

Rex Ryan said this morning that the Steelers need to go back to Fields. He said the Steelers miss him in their running game and he was much better than Wilson in the red zone. He wasn't saying give him a play here and there, he was saying make him the starter. So there is someone on biggbunch68's side.

Your one boy Pickens didn't have a single td in 6 games with your other boy Fields playing. Why don't you ask Him who He rather play Qb. LoL

I would like Wilson to have a bit of Fields youth and his legs as a 4th option because some of the sacks Wilson is taking are related to holding onto the ball waiting for someone to get a step.

Did you get the feeling that the eagles were dictating throws to Wilson with their muddied defensive scheme? They were forcing that isolation of Slay on a single wr and funneling everything to the side opposite of Slay. Seemed like a perfect time for Washington to run a 6 or 7 yard up and out to the sideline. Maybe even run a slant on Slay and force him into the LB or safety clearing out the side for Washington or Muth.

    Rex Ryan knows QB's.... not.

I don't like either of our QB's but Wilson is playing better.
It doesn't help we have Dollar General WR's that were on sale. Pickens is really only a temper tantrum away from nutty.

Aurthur Smith is light years better than Matt Canada, but then again, so is PeeWee Herman.
I am beginning to wonder about our OC. Not ready to fire him, just having some doubts.

And unlike the Warren/Najee debate.....it's not just eye test....it's actual many many stats that shows how much better the team is offensively since Wilson started. I tell You what....let @biggbunch68@biggbunch68 ask the Wrs who they rather have playing Qb.....since Fields threw only one td in 6 game to them. LoL

No I seen that without Pickens there is nobody on the offense that they must Double, or have more than one player keep a eye on. Take Brown out of yesterday's game , and see how great their passing game is.
Again even with Pickens on the team in the 6 games that Fields started in.....He threw a whopping 5tds, and only threw one to a Wr.
