The only player on offense that had a decent game was Calvin Austin with 5 catches for 65 yards, the other 4 wide outs combined for 2 receptions for 32 yards.

Van Jefferson is a practice squad player and I’m guessing Mike Williams is cooked after his knee injury last year. Our WR room is really terrible.

I think many of us knew the one guy we absolutely couldn't lose is GP. We are 1-1 without him but if he isn’t back soon this season will be derailed. The other guy is probably Watt I think we are horrible record wise without him.

Had a great game. Just like that “washed” TJ watt is 3rd in sacks(1 sack behind first) and 1st in forced fumbles(6) 1st in tackles for loss.

if he doesn’t miss significant time he can win DPOY for sure.

I’m being a grump here but I don’t think there should be a player of the game in a loss

    It’s a participation trophy

Some of us have been saying the lack of a second wide receiver worthy of a starting job is a problem since they traded Johnson. I was supportive of the trade when it happened, but with the caveat that they had to find a viable replacement. Khan failed to do that. Williams did next to nothing with the Jets even before he was squeezed out of much of his playing time by the acquisition of Adams, so it shouldn't be a huge surprise that he hasn't done much. To be fair, the Eagles have the league's best defense, including two excellent cornerbacks, but this has been a problem all season. The Steelers are not built to withstand losing Pickens, but even with him, the rest of the receiving corps is a problem.

Because they both stink. I've been saying it since the offseason, Khan is absolutely negligent leaving us with this receiving corp. Getting Mike Williams was to try and save face. Way too little, way too late. He'd better have one hell of an offseason, because he completely blew it this year.

Yeah and I can’t blame this on MT this is clearly a Khan ball drop.

many teams have lousy WR corps. Look at the RATS. Beyond Zay, they have nothing.

who do the Brown have, beyond Juedy?

Who do the Bills have - quick - NAME 1 WR? KC - I can go on and on and on. They JUST added what's his face, from HOU.

    Enough, really.

Khan spent tens of MILLIONS on this defense, probably per Tomlin's interest and request.

EDIT - Khan drafted RO Wilson, too. WHERE IS HE? I'll tell you where: Tomlin SHELVED HIM. He had no interest in his development by mid-season, b/c Mike Tomlin knows it all. I promise you RW could have gotten his body together by Dec 1 and been ready for this stretch run but Tomlin was not interested. We could have used him, as I had been asking that question all season long.

    So.....here we are.....

Many of us have said we will be ok.....IF.....If ....Pickens plays....because He garners so much attention the other Wrs don't have to be great....just good, but the fear has been what if Pickens is gone.

The Ravens have Batemen, who is much better than anyone the Steelers have after Pickens. Andrews and Likely are better than Freiermuth and Washington.

Regarding the Browns, Elijah Moore and Cedric Tillman are both better than Jefferson, Austin, or anybody else the Steelers put out there not named Pickens.

The Chiefs lost their best two receivers, Rice and Brown, but they did a much better job trading for help in getting Hopkins to go with Worthy as their starters. Both of those guys are better the Steelers' receiver with Pickens out.

The Bills have Khalil Shakir and they traded for Amari Cooper.

All of those teams are significantly better at wide receiver than the Steelers without Pickens.

One would think that one would learn, but instead he just keeps banging away at a keyboard spewing bull**** hoping those with half a braincell agree with him. I know it’s a low bar, but that’s all he’s got
