The Miami Dolphins have waived veteran receiver Odell Beckham Jr., the team announced Friday.

It was a mutual agreement between the franchise and wideout to part ways, sources told NFL Network's Tom Pelissero. Beckham is hoping for more opportunities elsewhere. He'll go through waivers and be free to sign with any team if he goes unclaimed by Monday.

Any team that claims Beckham would be responsible for the $200,000 he's owed for the rest of the season, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo.

The 32-year-old receiver started the season on the physically unable to play list but has been a non-factor since being activated. He's caught only nine passes for 55 yards and zero touchdowns.

A former three-time Pro Bowler, Beckham has totaled 7,987 receiving yards and 59 touchdowns over his career. However, he hasn't had a season with over 1,000 receiving yards since 2019.

Probably nothing here, but we are in horrible shape in our WR room and he would be cheap. He would bring experience if nothing else.

I'd take a handful of guys before I'd take Beckham. Sure, he'll make one highlight play catch, then disappear for weeks.
Heck, if you want to stoop to the lowest depths, bring Claypoo back. I'm sure him and Tomlin at practice would have great entertainment value for Hard Knocks.

If we want a receiver who can score zero touchdowns we could just sign DJ Johnson

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Ravens pickup OBJ to replace DJ.

I dunno. We have had waaay worse yamhead receivers in Pittsburgh before, but I think you can stick a fork in him, he is done. At any rate, I think someone else will claim him before the Steelers have a shot. Might be interesting, though, to have him fill in for Yamhead for a few weeks while he nurses his hamstring.

If the Steelers needed a receiver who hasn't done anything this season, they could just activate Roman Wilson .

Went from a potential hall of famer career to a boat trip to scrubbed and worshed.
