I don't believe we can actually say strength vs strength.....unless Pickens was playing.

I’m not exactly sure with Pickens I would call WR a “strength”

    Typo

    Meant without Pickens

Although still not a strength with him and Moe Larry and Curly at WR

Not a true #2 in the bunch

It was 20 years ago this season that rookie BB et al beat the undefeated Pats and Eagles back to back weeks - both of those teams on their way to the Super Bowl. How about we conjure up some Bus and (gulp) Stanley to plow over the Eagles this Sunday? :herewego!::steelflag::herewego::towel::yeehaw::dfense:

Barkley only had 6 yards because the D line had Heyward and Stephon Tuitt. Steelers still haven't replaced Tuitt's run stopping ability. Hope Benton becomes the answer, but so far.... Steelers need to look at DT in round 1, '25 draft.

If the steelers win this game,it would be one of the best regular season win in the Tomlin era!

As usual people in the media make these high and wild claims for click bait. 50/50 chance they are proven right. If we have no chance then how did Panthers get close and personal with this team. It's the 2024 Eagles, not the scariest bunch,

The Steelers are 4th in the league in rushing yards allowed. We've had a couple of rough games (NYG comes to mind) in the run department, but hard to say that our DL or front 7 have been a detriment to us. We could stand to get younger at DL since Heyward can't play forever (maybe?) and Larry O is over 30, but I don't think we've inadequately hindered our DL. Its not Heyward/Hargrave/Tuitt good, but its still good.

There is little doubt that this Philly game will be a rough one. A win would be a success beyond human comprehension. A loss is ok - dust off - Beat the Ratbirds and then the Chiefs are extremely vulnerable on the road in Pit on Christmas. The Ratbird game is key since they play the Giants Sunday - Pickens better be ready for the Ravens. Just my 2 pennies.

That's cool and all but we won't have that Legion of Boom defense Wilson had back in those Seattle days.

Our defense doesn’t exactly suck. I feel good about them in this matchup. They do well defending running Qbs and Hurts isn’t passing the ball real well right now which is causing friction among the offense, especially Brown.

Sounds like Pickens is going to miss the rest of the regular season or at least the next few games. Man this is a huge hit for a guy I didn’t even know was hurt until last Friday (practice)

I agree, but the problem will be on offense, without Pickens, and against their number 1 defense in giving up yards.
I'm actually not really much of caring about this game anyway. It's the next game I really, really, really want to win

When Wilson had the seahawks defense at their peak(2012 to 2015) he face the eagles only once during this period.....after that our current defense is even or better that the other seahawks defense

I agree, but now He will be facing the number 1 D in yards.....without His number 1 Wr.

If the steelers win this game, the steelers will need to be balanced on offense and the defense need a strong game...Huge challenge but I believe!

The Eagles have a great Safety tandem, and their DL may feast on our young OL. I don't much care win/lose with this week's game either. I can wait to beat them when we see them again in the SuperBowl!!!

I can believe that. NFL players are paid for production. If a WR, TE, or RB are related to the status of blocking for the QB, they will never get the big money contacts. They all know this and I am sure it is just like you said. They quietly seek a way out.
