How many of the remaining 4 games will the Steelers win?

2. Ravens and Bengals.

I don't see any way Steelers beat the Eagles unless Hurts is totally flat.

Chiefs will get lucky somehow on Xmas day.

 

I've watched some Chiefs games and lady luck and the refs are shining down on them. Gonna be real pissed if it continues in the Playoffs.

 

Pickens out for a while. 1 or 2 may be all we win.

I voted 1, dont be hatin, heres why:
A. we havent won in Philadelphia in 60 years, this has loss written all over it.
B. Ravens, We will win this game and clinch division.
C. KC, loss, Tomlin is bad on the short weeks ( being at home , we may pull this out but I still think its a loss )
D. Seeding is set, we rest the main starters and lose to the Bengals who are still hanging on for a wildcard

 

As long as those two are the Ravens, and Bengals. I'm good

 

The Steelers have a terrible record in Thursday night games on the road with Tomlin as head coach, but road teams usually don't do well in short weeks like that. It isn't just the Steelers. Home field advantage seems to be magnified on short weeks.

 

What does our TNF record have to do with the remaining games?

 

I actually believe the Steelers will win the next 3 and be in 1st seed contention come Week 18 versus Bengals.

I don't think the Eagles are this juggernaut team that they are made out to be. Steelers can beat the Eagles...w/o GP definitely a tougher task.

 

I agree that the Eagles are nothing special.... but it seems like Steelers always play like crap in Philadelphia. There's no rhyme or reason to it. I don't believe in curses, but Steelers just might be cursed when playing the Eagles in Philadelphia. Steelers usually whip the Eagles at 3 Rivers/Heinz/Acrisure. 2004 was amazing.... Eagles were undefeated that year with McNabb and TO. Steelers whooped them... with rookie Ben, Duce, Plax and the Bus. 2020 was a Ben to Claypool fest.

 

I think with 14 sidelined, 2-2 and I haven't done the maths, but I'm hoping that's going to be enough to win the div and the #3 seed.

I am voting 2. We win against the Chiefs, and Bengals.

Chiefs, because it is a short Holiday week, and the Bengals, because I suspect many of their players will have one step out the door already when week 18 rolls around.

 

Thursday night games are played on three days rest. The Christmas Day game against the Chiefs will be played on three days rest.

 

It depends who they beat in those two games. If they beat the Ravens, they can go 1-3 and still win the division.

 

Love how people keep bringing this up. You’re talking about like 1 game a decade. It’s not like we’re playing there every year. You left out the most real point, eagles are easily one of the best teams in the league.

I think if anyone is going to use the argument Steelers have not won in Philly in 60 years then its equally important to include Russel Wilsons stat of being 4-0 against Philly in Philadelphia. He is 6-0 career against the Eagles. If anything I would think RW stat has more weight than an unexplained intangible 60 year drought.

 

Just think.... Mean Joe Greene was maybe a freshmen in college when the Steelers last beat the Eagles at Philly. Franco Harris and Terry Bradshaw were in high school.

Jack Lambert, Lynn Swann, John Stallworth and Mike Webster were in Junior High.

 

10 days of DOOM ---oh man win face the gloom and you will be on top--- beat everyone beat all 4 ---Then destroy and smash your way all the way to a Superbowl victory.

 

If we win the first three, we're not sitting anyone, not with the #1 seed on the line. We'll be 13-3, the Chiefs (if they win the other 2) will be 14-2, needing to win at Denver (who may also be playing for their playoff lives, depending on what happens this Sunday against the Colts) won't be able to sit anyone.

 

Interesting, if only one W but it’s against the Ratbirds, the division is ours. If we win out, the next three I’m talking, then we may take the conference.

Been a while since that was even a remote possibility.
