Williams has already seen play in 14 games, with the Steelers having 4 remaining games.

Edit because JEH found out that this has already happened last year.
Last year Leonard Williams became the first player in the modern era to play 18 games in a season when he was traded from the Giants to the Seahawks and played in every game for both teams, without getting a bye.

Will the NFL, or NFLPA allow a player to miss his bye week, and play in 18 regular season games?

Does he get an 18th extra bonus check?

14 games down and 4 more to go.

In the NFL? Without express written requirement?

Somewhat surprised this has never happened before. Players get traded every season but I guess most of them can’t make a whole season without injury.

Every NFL player who is on a team's roster during the year will earn a base salary divided up into 18 instalments. That covers the 17-game schedule and the bye week which make up the season.

He will get his normal 18 checks.

There are actually 5 players this year two on the Steelers including Preston Smith

Last year Leonard Williams became the first player in the modern era to play 18 games in a season when he was traded from the Giants to the Seahawks and played in every game for both teams, without getting a bye

In two of the last four games, Mike Williams playing was debatable but happy to see him progressing

I still like the 'lost to the Steelers two weeks in a row stat' best. Thanks for that one Mr. Adams.

Do we mean 18 weeks? There is not 18 games in a season.

He has about as many receptions with the Steelers as he did with the Jets. I’m not sure what everyone was expecting.

I think he will start to get more receptions with Pickens being injured.

“I view it only as a matter of time before his presence gets felt in a more consistent way in stadium,” Tomlin said, via the team’s website. “Practice has been like that for a number of weeks, and usually when you see people making plays in practice, it’s a precursor to them making plays in stadium. And so with George, available or not, I expect the overall trajectory of his performance and inclusion in performance to be on the incline.”

This is a prime example of Tomlin saying way more than needs to be said. Short version. Need to throw him the ball.

Asked about a players performance and possibly bigger role.

    Mike Tomlin- see above
Bill Bilicheck when coaching- mumbles yes.

If ever there is an opportunity to say more with out saying anything substantial it's Mike Tomlin. His post coaching speaking engagements will be worth every penny. Lol

Posted a story a while back where a MLB player (can't remember name, position or season) but he was traded during the season and technically played for both teams in the same game because there was a resumed rain delay game from earlier in the season and he appeared for each team in both portions of the game. Now that was strange.

If only it were that simple. He has to learn the playbook and build chemistry with the qb. These things don’t happen overnight
