Hated Dune part 2 as they just tore apart the ending of the book. Mom never gets married and is pregnant for like 2 years and never gives birth.

Reminded me of the Battle Star Galactica remake, when I had to ask Why did they do away with all the female characters from the original series? Instead, they turned half the men into women.
    Athena
    Cassiopeia
    Serina
    Sheba

I still think Maren Jensen was one of the hottest stars of the 70s.

I went to Europe recently and watched this movie on the flight called Daddio. There really wasnt alot of options, and I didnt want to watch anything Ive seen before.

Its just Sean Penn as a cab driver and Dakota Johnson as his passenger being picked up at JFK after a flight. Literally the only reason I watched it was because i JUST took a cab from the 4am bar in NYC to JFK to board my flight.

But I really, really loved it. Its basically 2 very different people having the realest conversation ever. And even my cold, black heart was getting teary eyed watching it. Its not usually the type of movie I would watch, but you know movies are really good when you cant get them out of your head days after watching them.

They pretty much have to jump ahead that fast. Otherwise it would be worse than watching paint dry. The guy that plays Ish isn’t exactly the strongest lead so it would get boring pretty fast. As for the solar panels that’s an any monkey with a typewriter thing. Read the instructions and voilà.

Not a movie recently watched, but one I'll be seeing the second it comes out. I originally had hoped they'd make a "Months" sequel. But too much time passed. But I'll happily take this one. (Warning: some of you who've done a certain type of military training may have a slight flashback from the audio :lolol:)

A little off the path b but I recently took my grandson to a birthday party at the movie theater. The movie was 'The Wild Robot'. While the 7 year old sat together and hung out and stuff, I just sat and watched the movie from the back. Good movie.

I can't wait to see this. I've seen the 1st two at the theater. IMO....I know others don't agree, but they are my favorite zombie type movies since the original Dawn of the Dead

Yeah, "Boots" is a recording (from 1915!) of the Rudyard Kipling poem. The way it's recorded really gives this ominous feeling. It can make you feel like you're going crazy (which may be the point since it is about a forced march of soldiers during war).

I only knew of it because of my daughter and a few friends. I never had to go through SERE training. My job didn't require it. But everyone I know who did it talks about that recording. They use it while they're "keeping you prisoner" and subjecting you to sleep deprivation. They play it VERY loud and on a loop. It leaves a lasting impression. :lolol:

I was talking to My friend about this movie, and How we seen the 1st two in the theaters, and He said that we actually rented the 1st one , and watched it with his wife, and my then ole lady, but we did see the 2nd one at the movies. Not that anyone cares,,but I didn't want to leave that wrong. LoL
