Or did Tomlin informally sit him for a game for being a yam head?

And why would they sit him now? Tomlin said in the post-game presser Pickens was injured.

He was hurt, but could have played, but would have been limited with the possibility of causing further damage. Not worth the risk. I understand how it looks, but I think this was just a smart decision to sit him.

Well, maybe it will adjust his brain to see that they won without him.

We have a really important 3 game stretch coming up... Can't be risking our only high end WR, especially with a hammy that could be tweaked and linger. Rest him and get him ready for a big December. REALLY important games fill the rest of the month (many on short rest).

By some of the logic in this thread, he could have been sat down last week against Cincy after his game ending dust up against Newsome, Jr. in Cleveland. He tweaked his hamstring people. And Tomlin was right for being cautious with him. Not everything is a "hexagonal conspiracy". Furthermore, they won the damn game without him.

If it is a Grade 2 Hamstring, he is likely out not just against Philly but possibly Baltimore as well. That said, the informatiom is speculative. Who knows how long GP will be out.

One thing is for certain; this team had BETTER get a WR 2 in the Offseason; no excuses.
