Don't look ahead. Looking ahead I guess if we got to lose a game it would be best for it to be to Eagles. :noose:Pains me but it's best for Steelers. 100% confident we get a home game but of course I would love the bye which is still possible. Need Chiefs and Bills to lose tonight.

Just beat the Ravens and Bengals and they should win the division.

I don't see it happening they would have to go 4-0 most likely for that to happen.

That’s what I was wondering if we lose at Baltimore and finished tied we get the tiebreak?

The Steelers would still be up 1 game on conf record and tied in div record, after a week16 loss. But both teams will still have 2 conf games and 1 div game each. A loss and this wont be decided until the last week. Win = clinched division

I think they only need to beat the Ravens to clinch it. Even if they lose to the Eagles next week, that would put the Steelers at 10-4 and the Ravens at 9-5. Beating the Ravens the following week would push the Steelers' lead back to two games with only two contests remaining and that win would give them the tie-breaker.

Beating Cleveland also means their season is officially over as well.

I think it may come down to beating the Bengals to have the division tiebreaker

We have a real shot at the #1 or #2 seed with Buffalo losing. Hopefully we can get some help and KC actually loses too...

Buffalo has Lions, Jets, and NE x2 left... so really only a shot at one more loss

KC has Chargers tonight, Browns, Texans, Us, Broncos... So a relatively tough schedule to close. They could easily lose one or two games (outside of our game) and make that Christmas day matchup really meaningful

Obviously, none of this matters if we lose next week and/or against the Ravens. We need to finish the year with no more than 4 losses to have a real shot at the #1 or #2 seed. #1 seems really only likely if we win out, but #2 is doable if we finish 3-1. We can't limp into the playoffs... winning a couple games the next 3 weeks (Eagles/Ravens/Chiefs) would go a long way to getting the belief that we can win it all.

All I care is beating the Ravens, and Bengals. I don't care about the rest of the regular season games.....Philly least of all since they are a NFC Team. The next time I will worry about a NFC team will have to be in the SB

    Here's the paths:

Steelers finish tied with Ravens at 10-7, Ravens would win the AFCN.
Steelers finish tied with Ravens at 11-6, Steelers would win the AFCN as long as the Steelers win is either Cincy or Balt, meaning need Balt to lose in Houston (Ravens probably aren't losing to Cleveland again or to the Giants).
Steelers finish tied with Ravens at 12-5, Steelers would win the AFCN as long as the Steelers beat Cincy as one of their 2 wins (meaning Steelers beat either KC or Philly). This is where the any one of the Steelers 3 prior losses hurt, they probably need one of the next 3 because of losing one of those previous three losses.

Steelers finish tied with Bills at 14-3, Steelers are the 2 seed (If there is a 3 way tie at 14-3, Steelers are the 1 seed, regardless of who else KC loses to).
Steelers finish tied with Bills at 13-4, it's still up in the air. If Steelers lose to Eagles and Bills to Lions, Steelers are the 2. After that it gets complex with SOV and/or common opponents (so Steelers would need to be KC and Balt or have Bills lose to Jets).

Bills probably aren't losing last 3 (vs NE, vs NYJ, @ NE). Right now, both Steelers and Bills have 2 AFC losses. Bills probably aren't getting another one, meaning Steelers need to win in Balt and beat KC and Cincy at home. This is where the Cleveland and Indy losses are killers.
