A few of us tried telling people if the Qb quits spinning into the LTs blocking lane D. Moore was a lot better than people thought.

They are going to be in a bind somewhere. Actually, they will be in a bind at multiple positions this offseason.

    we found agreement!!

    :drinks:

correct - there will be holes - there ALWAYS are.

i am just not fond of grading draft picks in 10 months, or a draft in half a season. 2-3 years is about what it takes, IMO. Unless you have a SERIOUS BUST, like KENNY PICKETT!!!

that is true, Kenny did not help.

regardless of all our BABBLE - we need a STARTING CB and LT next year. We MAY have the T on the roster, now. CB will be a TOP priority in FA or the draft - we can all agree to that!!

I am getting in a friendly Christmas spirit - I watched Scrooge last night :smiley1:

Pickett did not look like a bust at the end of his rookie season. The Steelers didn't fully finish ruining him until the early parts of his second season, when they completely coached the aggressiveness out of him.

It can take time to grade picks, but Mitchell has been an immediate impact player for the Eagles. Maybe Fautanu will be that for the Steelers next year, but he hasn't proven it yet.

I leave it out because it is not a fact. It is your opinion, one that is not supported by the available evidence. Wilson signed because they told him he would be the starter. Pickett knew this and wanted out because he wasn't going to be given an opportunity to compete. That is also an opinion, but one that fits the available evidence. That Tomlin benched Fields despite the team's 4-2 record is further proof that Wilson was locked in as the starter from the moment he signed.

Pickett was an impatient dumbass who as angry about not getting to compete. That is the conclusion that fits the evidence available to us.

Your version is not based in facts or Pickett's words. Mine fits the facts far better than yours, even more so now that we have seen Tomlin bench Fields to get Wilson in there once he was healthy.

Maybe the Steelers deserve a little blame for handling a first-round pick poorly every step of the way. The only positive is the player they got for the third-rounder they got in the Pickett deal. They turned that pick into Payton Wilson.
