I get the what they are trying to say, but there are a lot of minutes between games. I don't see the harm in looking ahead after post game and next game discussions have been exhausted.

I do believe that Russell Wilson needs to be signed to a 3 year deal after the season.

If Pickens keeps acting the fool you let him play it out in 24 and see if the attitude subsides in 25 then franchise him in 26 and work out a deal. Unless he makes a 180 this season. He is a major talent that i'm hoping they can retain.

Najee is a big part of the offense and offering him a contract I would be in favor of. I do believe he will have suitors that may offer more then the Steelers will pay.

Also Watt. Signed through 2025.

With the Wilson signing and Watt they might have to wait anyway on Pickens.

Only thing my inner circle are asking is can we make it to the SB. For fun we keep a % meter. At present moment we are at 30% possibility. (10 of us)

I know a lot want a Playoff win but if we lose the following week it's gonna hurt as bad as if we lost first round again. I'd take no joy telling people we won 1 Playoff game. Only Lion fans took great joy in that last season.

 

I say enjoy the moment cause the off season is brutal with these talking heads.

I couldn’t care less about a playoff game. It’s a participation trophy. Nothing more than something else for people to cry about.

 

It has to start somewhere and a postseason win hasn't happened since Jan 15, 2017. I'd be happy with that playoff drought streak not going into year 8.

I've been saying this. Its win enough to get into the playoffs, and then win enough to go to the SB....no in betweens. The Browns, Giants, and Falcons have won a playoff game since we have......wow....Wow.....WOW!!!!!! That sure shows us they are a way better teams than us, and way better Coached......LoL. .....NOT

we should take JOY if we win a playoff game - that would be a good campaign, for 2024. To get beaten by the Ravens, Bills or Chiefs in the playoffs would not be horrendous. that most likely would be a Divisional game, unless we somehow stammer these last 5 weeks and face the Ravens in week 1. lose to any other AFC team, and this board will be frothy.

Realistically, the Steelers have been pulling this season out of a bag. Nobody looks at us and says, there is a super bowl team. Doesn't mean that we can't do it, but it's really not on anybody's radar right now. However, most of the pieces are in place to be a super bowl team. We are lacking on wide receivers. That's the big one in my opinion. Right now, The running back situation is good, but next year we don't have Najee as things sit right now.

I think that is how a lot of people are assessing the Steelers. They're close to having all the pieces. But they need those couple of areas shored up next year and we are there.

 

I think the Steelers have a complete team this year. From top to bottom we are solid.

 

No team is perfect...Even the super bowl champion of the past had some hole in their roster.I don't said they will win,far from that but I am very happy right now they have a shot for the first time since 2017

 

I do agree with you. I just think that a lot of the analyst types don't. They seem to think all of the puzzle pieces have to be there to have a shot.

I think it takes a team that has most of the bases covered and arrives in the playoffs healthy. Being healthy is the most important part imo.

 

I’d be happy if our playoff game wasn’t over by the 2nd quarter.

So a sports reporter who supposedly has more access to teams, players, coaches and team insiders is asked for information regarding the teams future presumably by fans who are not in the know and his response is to tweet can't they live in the now?

I'll tell you what Andy we will unfollow you, cancel what ever subscription we have with whatever publication you write for, send a few hints to your boss so they fire you and then you can live in the moment with us without any access to information unrelated to the current state of the team.
