pre-season, many of us thought this roster ON PAPER , was solid. Khan and Tomlin and Co. did very good off season of work and planning and draft. the rest was execution and keeping healthy.

Nah, there is definitely some hate in the gameday threads as soon as something goes wrong it's Tomlin sucks etc.

This team has served up some crow for me this year.... I'm ok with it.
I'm ok with Mike Tomlin.

3 out of the next 5 games are going to be difficult. Especially 4 days after Baltimore we face KC.

It is not unfathomable that we could end the season 1-4, worse things have happened.
I think we finish 3-2 and that still leaves us in good position.
I also think Buffalo and KC are going to be tough to beat but I do think we can run a little better with them.

 

1-4 would be hard to swallow, that and a one and done in January and things would SOUR FAST

we either are 2-3 or 3-2, is my guess. that last game w/ the Bungles may not matter.....

Playoff performance is then critical.

 

This team is hard to figure out.
Who would have thought Russell Wilson would throw for 414 Yards and 3 TD's? With this bunch of receivers?
The Defense seems to lull offenses into a false sense of security then prey on them.

In my opinion, I think Baltimore has the easier schedule and can win 3 of the four games..It makes me sick to my stomach but that probably wins the division...
- Talk about choking, Lamar in the playoffs is a joke.
With Byes probably going to the Bills and Chiefs, I figure we can run with any of the 1st round playoff teams.

But the Steelers are capable of going 4-1 in that stretch, that changes things dramatically. I like some home field advantage though I know the doors to the Super Bowl go through the Bills and Chiefs

 

yes - i see this as a 50/50 possibility. Us losing 3 of our last 5 is not unrealistic. if a Divisional Tie, it was stated yesterday that most calculators have us winning. that Balt loss to the Raiders plus our win, looms large. The Ravens will be focused - they play good ball in DEC under Harbaugh and with the chips on the table. Their bye week, they will work some things out. They can run their table.

I always felt this WR corps was better than they had looked early on. Fields was never going to be able to uncover that and A Smith was not going to call a game plan in that direction.

I am a fan of Austin (stated for a few years) and I think Jefferson has talent. I STILL would like to see if Ro Wilson is / can get some reps and see some snaps in the next few week. WHY NOT?

 

I believe this is the 4th year in a row that I have won money on the over/ under in season wins. It's like taking money from a baby. LoL

It was free money since until otherwise the floor of Tomlin is .500.I predicted 9-8 before this year but it was also my worst case scenario for the steelers

 

Neither have I, but .....now let's picture it.....You give money to a baby, and see how easily I can sneak up, and take it. LoL

 

I had a trip planned for Vegas in the Summer that was going to be my biggest bet the Steelers over for wins, something came up and I had to cancel my trip so no bet for me .

He's primarily out there to block. Kind of like Darnell Washington. He's not going to get the kind of coverage other wr's are going to get. So, if he's open, you throw to him.

 

What's crazy is 10 guys caught a pass, but Mike Williams didn't even get a target.

 

yeah I am surprised at the lack of production. I can only think perhaps something is going on in practice.

There were times where they had a short turn around where they utilized k.i.s.s. and they laid a beating on their opponent. The game against Carolina right around Newtons last year with them.

Other times they have complicated things and tried to much on too short of preparation and it showed.
